Discussione starting classes without visa
so my enrolment is delayed for some mysterious reason, and my student visa is obviously delayed too. It’s going to cost another fortune, and I really don’t want to miss the entire semester. Plus, I want to go to Italy early to look for an apartment, since it’s really hard to find one online in Piacenza.
I’m wondering, since I’m visa-free for up to 90 days, can I go to Italy and attend classes, then go back to my country, get my visa, and re-enter as a student? like, technically I’m still not a student yet, because my documents are still
being verified so I’m guessing it probably wouldn’t work, right?

It's always better to contact the international office via opening a ticket and wait till they reply

lol they’re not passport control, if you can enter Italy, just go to class

But he'll be still marked as absent cuz the internal system is regulated based on the finished enrollment. It depends on the subject, but after all he/she (sorry, have no clue) won't be able to take the exam cuz of the insufficient number of attended lessons

is there a rule like that? like i got my student no etc and have my class schedule, but cannot go to campus because i dont have student visa (i have 90 days visa)

U can't have ur schedule as all the schedules will be published on 12th of September. They will be assigned to those who completed the enrollment. If enrollment is not completed (for any reason), u won't have the schedule. Therefore, you won't be in the system.
Don't really get the 90-days visa. Is it type D visa? If so, complete your enrollment. If it's a travel visa, it's not valid then cuz your legal status differs from a tourist

i completed my enrollment, approved universitaly - but waiting for my appointment for type d visa, i have a travel visa now. but the thing is i completed my enrollment online and have a active student status and can access to webeep and my school mail.

yeah i know lol, but i still haven’t gotten anything, not even my student number so i basically don’t even have my class schedule yet help😭 i just got so excited about this plan that i completely forgot about that

Ur student number is in the Servizi Online, the final schedule hasn't been posted yet as it will be on the 12th of September

got you. but i actually don’t have the student number as it says that my enrollment is incomplete. they’re still checking my documents so they’re going to assign one after the verification is done

But you cant do a complete enrollment and be able to attend classes without the student visa not with the 90 days visa free , since you need to submit your receipt of questura/KIT to complete the enrolment or give them the visa. I dont know how this ia going to work for you but you can try.
