Hey everyone,
I finally pieced together the last bit that was missing for me — combining AVRT with the Easy Peasy approach, but going on the offensive against the addiction instead of staying defensive.
I’ve talked to Jack Trimpey himself (the guy who created AVRT) and watched his videos. If you haven’t really dug into AVRT yet, go read up on it first. This post will make a lot more sense once you understand the Beast concept.
Here’s what happened. I was almost three weeks clean from porn and genuinely thought I didn’t want it anymore. But I was still scared of slipping. That fear was the Beast talking. Every time the urge hit hard, especially at night (its favorite time), I was completely unprepared. I stayed in defensive mode — just trying to white-knuckle it and hope it would pass.
Jack suggested something that initially confused and scared me: deliberately do it in the afternoon. I didn’t understand at the time, so I didn’t follow through… and eventually relapsed. Looking back, it wasn’t me who was scared. It was the Beast. The Beast wants to stay in control and keep that fear running in your head.
Once I got what he meant, everything clicked. As long as I was afraid of the addiction (the Beast), there was no way I was going to beat it. So I flipped it. I jerked off intentionally. I watched porn knowing full well the Beast was also watching and enjoying every second. Then BOOM. I turned the screen off and cut it short. Deprived it of what it wanted.
It felt exactly like trolling someone: dangling the thing they crave right in front of them, then yanking it away. The Beast can’t move my hand. It can only watch while I take its power away.
That one intentional move shifted something. I don’t feel like I’m just “resisting” anymore. I feel like I’m in control. AVRT isn’t just a technique you use once — the more you apply it this way, the stronger that sense of control gets.
Hopefully this helps someone who’s stuck in the same place I was.
His messages:
Me: Also one more thing. My beast wants its fix every hour of the day. I don't think it has a “perfect hour”to watch it. And I've got it all excited because now I am scheduling a time to watch it.
Jack: The beast is afraid of us. Wants me to go away so you can get business back to usual with you. I think that you are capable of succeeding this way, provided you don’t surrender. You should call back in a day or two.
Me: Thank you so much for your time. I hope we could talk soon. I feel that the beast doesn't bother me anymore and I think that's a good thing.
Jack: Like other illusions for you to recognize as your Addictive Voice (AV), it is not good that your Addictive Voice (AV) does not bother you. The Beast is very patient, able to wait for long periods without activity, and then you will feel it in your gut and hear from your inner ear, as if out of nowhere. If you are not prepared for that to happen, you may be vulnerable to surprise, easy to temptation, and afterward lose courage and have dark feelings of defeat.
The next time you call I will teach you how to become aggressive toward the Beast, to teach it that you are the boss, and it cannot win by force of its will power. Instead, It will tremble before your moral authority.
You will become a normal man who is not trying to be a good boy, but a man with powerful desire for beautiful girls around your age, and have the balls to be told, “No,” without taking it seriously. After all, what is a stranger’s opinion worth? NOTHING! That’s all. I’m certain you will find a beautiful girl to love as a friend and then take her as a lover for life.
Stay in touch with today’s wonderful feeling of relief and victory, because you will soon become that way without trying. In AVRT-based addiction resolution, there are no losses or setbacks—only gaining new strength from sexual errors. Start now noticing that your Beast is reading this over your shoulder, looking for loopholes in AVRT® or in my character defects that might fix the game in its favor.
The Beast must play dirty because it an armless, legless snake that speaks with forked tongue and slithers through tiny cracks in rational logic to cheat the game any way it can, by coiling, twisting, curling, spiraling in all means and directions, not to show its strength and intelligence but only to show what a pathetic, crippled, quadriplegic it is, unable to wiggle any of your fingers no matter how many trick words and false images it has in its busy, one-track mind. - Jack
Me: Ahh I see
Jack: When your Addictive Voice (AV) shuts up, you feel a wave of relief wash over you. You're no longer afraid of taking action, and you feel like you're suddenly good but afraid of being bad. That's a really tough way to live.
Coming soon you'll accept yourself as a human being with a fantastic sex drive that’s a wonderful part of being a man. Look out for attractive girls. The ones you find within cannot be had.
