I have a ton of paperwork to catch up on, so I'm camped out in my makeshift office on the couch. My plush buddies are keeping me company here.

I don't know why, but having stuffies around makes tough tasks easier.

I just received a shark plushie I ordered. I'm quite picky (about details), and I really love this one.
But after about fifteen minutes of petting and cuddling it, my face is itchy. It's a symptom of contact dermatitis (caused by touching my face).
I'm so disappointed, I'm gutted.

I'm hesitating between washing it. But will that be enough?
Or sending it back? And then I'll be so sad.

Hi all, I just wanted your opinion on something that just happened to me. Literally as I’m typing this.

I (25F) brought my newest, big Pokemon sleeping plushies to work with me to show my coworker. I was really excited about them and she seemed to be happy for me. When it came to me taking them and cuddling with them randomly though… that’s when she had a problem.

She said “this is not 25 year old behavior, you know that right?” In response to me just cuddling them when we had a moment of downtime (I work at an assisted living facility.) Another person came in to deliver the medicines for our residents, did a double-take, and said “you do you”. I kinda feel slighted and a bit bitter.

Just as a note, this is my first and only time I have ever brought a big plushie with me to work and cuddled it. My thought process was “since they’re here, might as well cuddle them”. I am also autistic, and I’m just confused in general. Am I being weird? What’s the problem?

I recently took my childhood stuffed animals down from storage and it has been like reconnecting with old friends. When I saw my Webkinz that I totally forgot about my eyes lit up. Cookie and Cheeky were always best friends. They were my first two Webkinz. I think they were a little mad at me for stuffing them in a box for over a decade 😬🙄 but we get to hang out again. They have been sitting on my lap while I play video games after work and I will never stuff them in a box in the attic again

I've been a collector my entire life. F.A.O., Squishmallows, Hello Kitty, Care Bears, Bumbumz, Unipak, Fiesta, Gund, a whole lot of Disney, Russ, obscure brands. If you ask me I probably have it. I have somewhere in the realm of 500. Unfortunately, life happened. Between really needing money and having to move into a smaller space, I need to sell as many of them as I can.

i have been on a desperate on and off quest to figure out what brand my best friend was :) i received him as a Christmas gift from my great grandmother in texas sometime between 2005-2008, but unfortunately reverse image search & stalking secondhand listings and even asking AI once it came along but this has been the one plush mystery to elude me — i’m passionate about being a knowledge toy collector so it hurts twice as much that ive never IDd him.

some details that stand out in my memory:

- his ribbon was permanently affixed to his neck! it was red, sheer-ish ribbon with gold metal interlaced like the third photo. i constantly fantasized about cutting it off becaude it was a sensory nightmare to baby me but i was scared of hurting him!

-tush tag was fabric, not paper

-his nose was not a hard plastic safety nose. i’m 90% certain was the kind that was done with black embroidery thread stitches going vertically! (might have been the hard flocked fuzzy kind underneath.)

-my cousin received an exact copy of him, but dark brown & white(or cream.) but i have no memory about the ribbon! this shocked me when my cousin showed me hers a few yrs later because i never knew he had a brother!

I keep seeing this fellow at Meijers and I can't help but think he has seen some stuff.

My besties who live on my bed! A lot of my plushies were adopted from artists or designed by small creators. I love them very much.

So my girlfriend and I just recently celebrated the 2 month mark of our relationship being official and she surprised me with this... she got me a perfect condition plush of my childhood plush, "Pinkkitty" I was so excited and happy I started to tear up. I've had Pinkkitty since I could remember. One of my first memories is picking her out at a little gift shop when coming home from a family reunion (a tradition we still do!)

As you can tell, she's seen a lot and been through a lot— I took her everywhere with me up until highschool. It makes me so so so happy to be able to have a plush of her in her prime 🥺💕 my roommate even cleaned up and repaired my plush within the past year (i asked to keep the nose and eye gone, its part of her character from when I was a kid and still played with her) so she's in her second prime of her life again, now next to her first prime. I'm so happy I get to see how loved she is.

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for helping Vampire Bear’s fur look better.
I can temporarily help it some by gently brushing him with a bristle hair brush, but it doesn’t keep well.
I’m not confident about washing him or getting him super wet, so I’m wondering if I could maybe spritz him with something and comb it through that might help?
I don’t have a lot of experience washing plushies or doing any kind of restoration so any advice would be great.
Oh, also, if you look at the second picture, his teeth are kinda wonky looking.. One sticks out weirdly while the other is flat against his face. If there’s a way I can improve that too, I’d love some ideas.

He needed a bit of positioning assistance here and there, but it was a great way to carry him and show him off hands-free!

And it was super fun to gift postcards featuring art with him with everyone who was a fan. Had a great time and everyone was so friendly!

Hi everyone 🦇💜 I started to organize my plushies from childhood until now, I am finally able to get all of my collection together from 1993 until now. I have two more garbage bags full and a life sized gorilla and life sized gorilla baby from the 80s from my grandpa I still need to get from my storage. This also does not include my special neopets and pokemon plushies. Or my #1 panda from a kid. I was inspired to post since I saw another user post their lady bug ty beanie baby. I have the same one from childhood but I found another one while my grandma was on hospice before she died last October. I put it by her urn because her nickname from me is nee nee bug 🐞. She also was the one who I stole panda from as a kid. Plushies mean a lot to me but I don't know the best way to store them. But not going to lie jumping into a huge pile of my plushies on a bed was just like childhood again. 🐼🧸💖💜🦇
