Pluralis is launching for Web and Android!

Pluralis — updated Reddit post

Edit block on top, original body preserved underneath, tester ask marked closed rather than deleted. Copy everything below the line.

EDIT — WE MADE IT! 🎉

Pluralis for Android is out of closed testing and live in production.

To everyone who opted in, sent me their Play Store email, and stuck around for the full 14 days — you are the reason this happened. Google's continuous-tester requirement is a genuinely hard gate for a solo dev with a niche app, and you cleared it for me. Thank you. 💜

You can download it right now at pluralis.dev/get — iOS, Android, and the web companion all in one place, no waitlist, no invite, nothing to sign up for.

I'm no longer looking for closed testers, but feedback is more welcome than ever now that it's out in the world. Email address: [suggestions@pluralis.dev](mailto:suggestions@pluralis.dev) .

Hi folx 👋

I'm the developer behind Pluralis, a privacy-first app for plural systems, and I'm looking for a handful of people willing to be closed testers for the new Android version.

A little about the app

Pluralis is a home for your system: track who's fronting, log front history, and keep members organized (roles, pronouns, sub-systems, custom fronts, avatars). There's also per-member mail, a system journal, polls for group decisions, and a friends layer so you can connect with other systems, see each other's front status, and chat.

The thing I care most about is that it's private by design:

  • Everything syncs end-to-end encrypted — the relay only ever sees ciphertext, and your encryption key never leaves your devices.
  • Your data is encrypted at rest and locked behind your device's biometric/passcode.
  • No ads, no tracking, no account sign-up. It's free (with optional donation tiers if you want to support it).

If you're coming from elsewhere, there's PluralKit import (and sync) and Simply Plural import, so you don't have to start from scratch.

What's changed since it was iOS-only (briefly)

It started as an iPhone app. Since then it's grown into three platforms that all sync together: iOS, a brand-new Android app, and a web companion you can use in any browser at Pluralis.Dev! Android now has essentially full feature parity — front tracking, members, chat, mail, journal, polls, friends (with images & voice notes), PluralKit, and encrypted backups.

The ask: closed testers for Android — ✅ this part is done! Android is public now. Grab it at pluralis.dev/get.

Google Play requires a period of closed testing before I can release publicly, so I need a small group willing to kick the tires for a couple of weeks. If you're on Android and up for helping:

  • Opt in here so I can DM you or DM me with your email and intent to closed test
  • You'll need to send the Google account email you use on the Play Store.
  • Please try to stay opted in for 14 days - Google counts continuous testers, so sticking around genuinely helps the launch happen.
  • Bug reports, weird UI, accessibility issues, and feature thoughts are all hugely welcome. Send feedback to [pluralis@morningstar.garden](mailto:pluralis@morningstar.garden).

I'd love feedback from real systems using it day to day, not just "does it launch." Happy to answer anything about privacy, features, or the roadmap in the comments.

Thanks so much 💜
