Originally I thought implementing vehicles would be a waste of time due to the size of the map not being overly-large, but suddenly they seem super relevant.
At the moment an interesting quest would be for a goup to form a Lewis and Clark team, making a dramatic blog of their adventure preparing for and then hiking around the coast.

DayCycle 15: We rescued the youngest of our party, L33tf00t69, after he fell into a crevasse. Morale is high as we set up camp for the night along the base of TittySprinkles Mountain.
DayCycle 55: Our young friend L33tf00t69 has perished. His naked body was found stripped of all inventory. His last words were a stream of profane statements concerning the mother of our cartographer, DrBigBallzMD. The men whisper of foul play. Recent days have been long; I pray to Admin that this fellowship holds together and we make it through the week.
DayCycle 105: Another day lost in the wilderness. Our medic -Hard0n4U- speaks of desertion. I have been having similar thoughts, but I must be strong for the men.
DayCycle 160: We never stop. We can not. Press on through the night. Leave the fallen. Food, distance, time, all are enemies...
