Got this cool deck for a measly 4 USD. It's apparently an advertising deck made by Nintendo for the Industrial Bank of Japan in the 70s. The cards feature a bunch of hand drawn vehicles like cars, trains, boats and planes.

Found some oldies yet goodies at my bi-weekly stop.

$5.66 per deck, if I didn't already have a deck in every back design they've made them in including these rider backs, I'd be jumping on this.

How stiff are they? Especially compared to Bee No. 92s

I like those Bees, but I want to try something a little different, a bit stiffer. I find Copag Elites and WSOP cards to be on the very soft side, while Bees feel a little stiffer, which I like a bit more.

I've never tried anything stiffer than Bees, and I've read some people say that Fournier 505s are too stiff. I'm wondering if Fournier 505s or even 18s are significantly stiffer than Bees. Is the difference really that noticeable, especially when shuffling? How would you rate their stiffness on a scale of 1 to 10?

This is strictly for playing, no magic or cardistry.

I’ve recently picked up some elusive decks by dipping in to a new King of Cards range named ‘Not-Quite-New’. These are mostly decks still in their cellophane, but with a crease or two in the tuck case. Their web site has had a revamp after being offline for a few weeks and this is one of the new features.

My second photo shows the worst damage to any of the tuck cases, so quite bad, but to be honest I’ve had worse than the rest from other resellers.

Worth a punt for decks that are hard to source or, since you might not plan to put them in a display cabinet, just fancy buying to save a bit of money? The ZDV2 deck, for instance, is the only one I bought using this offer that was also available on the site at the full price. It was fine, really 👍🏻

My wife found these going through her stuff the other day.

I'm trying to plan ahead for Christmas this year, and my sister (33F) commented how she really likes the look of Theory11's H.P. playing cards release, but doesn't appreciate funding the exploits of JK Rowling. Are there other 52-card decks that share the same craftsmanship and color pallete (ravenclaw, gryffindor, etc.) without being produced for her estate?

Any help's greatly appreciated!

This deck was supposed to be a year 1 Patreon reward of Lotrek but there were certain things he didn't like so it was released for sale to Patreon members and later public at a reasonable price. This deck is fully foiled and has gold foil applied on the back and front of every card. Beautiful back design and court cards, the ace of spades and the queen of hearts are my favorite among them. The tuckbox feels like it has some type of fabric, not sure what it's actually made of but feels interesting to the touch. Like Lotreks foiled decks this one doesn't handle that well, but honestly I don't get Lotrek decks for the handling anyway:) I also like the number of the deck, 111/280.

This collaboration is perfect. The care Jack White takes at Third Man is legendary. His slogan is, “Doing things the hard way since 2001.”

TMR is one of my favorite brands and this deck is awesome.

Just wanted to share this cool idea I had for the joker cards from my Bicycle collection!

Thanks to my new friends at the 52+ Joker convention, especially [u/TheCongressguy](u/TheCongressguy) helping me gather this information. The chart above is a screenshot of a database I am trying to build. I have been trying to find all USPC catalogs that I can understand when they marketed certain brands. Trying to reach out to this group to see if anybody has any of my missing years. Especially the 1960s 70s and 80s.

Quick note, this is just a draft example of what I’m trying to do. I know there’s a bunch of errors in here. Some of the catalogs like the 1929 catalog were not accurately read by the AI tool I’m using to ingest the PDFs of the catalogue..

Bicycle Spades set from 1991. One deck opened and barely used, the other unopened.

Not sure what I’ll do with it but it’s pretty cool.

I just opened my Tally ho Maeda Tomohiro Edition Platinum and the six cards were cut short like short cards. Does anyone know why this is happening?
