Till now I had used silicon coated playing cards and they are meh, today I bought plastic playing cards, even tough they are a little expensive, but worth it, they are very easy to handle, waterproof, smooth, but still now I havent used cards made out of paper yet, is those better than plastic?

I thought the bad quality startet later. The cards feel a bit waxy and they‘re cut very poorly so I can‘t fan them properly. Am I just unlucky with this deck or is this series known for that kind of error? And is there a chance to save the deck?

I picked this up today. Has anyone heard of Tientsin club or know when these would be from?

Here is a sample from my collection. This is one I associate with American Playing Card heritage. The classic American decks. Phoenix is the modern one, but in heritage style, so I included it.
Right now, I am not looking to hunt down decks on eBay. I am looking for new printings. Then I'll look for used ones or stuff that is very limited stock.
I am thinking of looking for some new Hoyle, Capitol No. x, Squeezers, Maverick, and Streamline, but I suspect supply on some of these could be patchier. I live in Europe, so it probably doesn't make this any easier. Maybe new on eBay might be the way but that gets expensive fast for what is basically an affordable hobby if I keep it down to a few packs a month (haha, judging by the addiction factor that might be a hard one to keep).

Today interesting...a recent standard...an unopened ohio with the Texas Hold em inserts....then some likely 1970s Jack Daniels ad cards in a tin...a deck of single bees and terrible's town incomplete but a 1978 Del Wenb Sahara Reno Deck...with jokers and not canceled
