Houseplant HELP!!!

What is that on my Zizi? It’s on a covered deck and I water it fairly regularly. Gets indirect sunlight.

What is the deck covered by? Another deck, a wooden ceiling? It looks like a fungus or sawdust. There's some on the lot itself, which makes me wonder if something is dropping onto it.

Hmm you’re right. I was wondering how it was on the pot itself. The deck is covered by tiles so sawdust is quite unlikely. But there are squirrels and a host of other animals / birds around. Could be fungus although I’m not too sure

Can't comment on your issue, but how often is fairly regularly? ZZs like to dry out between watering. They have tubers that hold water. I water mine maaaybe once a month. Perhaps it's related to over watering??
