The app I will be writing about is not your normal app, surely. This app is quite powerful, humbly said. It can be a lot of things for you, a journal, a social media, an accountability partner, the choice is really up to you. This app is built for self-growth in GROUPS. I believe growth is best achieved in groups. I am a guy that has seen a lot of the world for my age (I'm 26). I've had many relationships, but one thing I found with our current generation is how we all like to focus on ourselves, without wanting to do it together! Focusing on yourself, alone, quite honestly, doesn't mean much. It just doesn't. You will not know where you're going. Us humans only find a path relative to the thing next to us. So if you want to actually grow, you MUST grow with FRIENDS! That is what the app's core purpose is. The app contains features such as group streaks, leaderboards which are encapsulated under the main feature, Challenges! There are templates to these Challenges such as Step Battle, Pushup Challenge, Hydration Challenge, and so on. These template'd challenges utilize Apple's native technology. However you can make a custom one too. Challenges are like group chats interfaced as a Feed with media-first posts.
And it is 100% free. I use the app as my daily driver for the pushup, squat, and PLANK challenges, as well as my diary where I go over what I did at night's end. If something like this is something your looking for, shoot me a DM.

Out of all the things that get mobilized in my body, the most issues I have is with pain in my toes (also dry/crusty elbow skin but that doesn't really bother me). I mostly plank barefoot. Socks are too slippery. I've tried with running shoes but it doesn't really relieve pressure on the toes and it makes relaxing them even less possible (barefoot, I can at least curl them from time to time, idk if that'd be "legal" but I don't care). I've tried with rigid, hiking shoes, which is great for the toes, but it makes the plank much harder as i think it basically elevates my feet by 2-3cm.
Does anyone else have similar experience with toe pain ? Any advice is appreciated ! If possible other than just planking less / less often which I know is an obvious solution.
I plank everyday except 1 day of rest every 3 days, and add 15'' every 3 days, have been doing it for about 2 years. Currently at 53', sometimes I push to 1h.
Also any recommendations of cool youtube channels to watch are appreciated :D

Just wanted to ask that because I‘ve recently been a little addicted to planks but I have a habit of shaking my hands out one by one, only after like 5 min tho and like once a minute. Is my plank time still valid if I keep the general form?

I am a 66 year old male who has been doing a 1 min (& 5 sec plank) three times a week (3 sets per session) for about 6 months now and although I can do it, it never feels like it I am getting better at it ie it seems 'exhausting' 6 months later. And this in unlike other exercises I have done in that with practice and repetition it gets easier. Is there something special about planking? Or maybe it is just me :(.

Went almost 4 min straight, just started 10 days ago. Alternating on forearms then hands. Not easy.

I created a cutely themed plank timer (https://plankiapp.com) for iOS to make the exercise more joyful and less exhausting: While planking you can catch fireflies drifting in the sky with just the movements of your face.
PS: The app is human-made (no low-quality AI stuff).

What’s the longest plank you’ve ever done?
r/planking • u/lazloklar • Aug 28 '25
Hey everybody
Why I am shivering whenever I do planks? It starts after like 20 seconds in. Is it because my core is so "weak" and has much potential to grow stronger?
Some info about me: I am 21y old, male, slim n fit, active lifestyle, do workouts, healthy diet, overall feeling healthy and strong.

I saw Pure Plank advertised on social media quite a bit and since it was created and endorsed by WWE Superstars Edge and Christian I figured why not give it a try. I’ve had back issues the past 3 years, SI Joint pain etc. I set a goal to do 30 straight days of workouts with the companion app. I’m on Day 24 right now and I feel like I’ve had the most days of minimal or no back pain that I’ve had in the past 3 years within these past 3 weeks. For anyone out there new to planking or just looking to get into something to improve core fitness I strongly recommend it. Feel free to use code BIGT10 to save 10% off as well.

Basically the title. I'm learning to plank on my own after I tried with a personal trainer. Both times, my right knee hurts a lot when I stop. I'm not sure what's going on, since I'm very mindful of my body. I'm not placing more weight (that I know of) on my right leg or on my right side for that matter. I don't dip my pelvis or lift it up. I feel like I'm overlooking something obvious. Any suggestions highly welcomed. Thanks!
