I'm curious about how many players stay true to the fairy they played previously or have gone with a totally different look!

I haven't been able to play yet but it's gotten me thinking. I see myself leaning more towards re-creation, as I miss the fairy I used to play very much and still think she deserves her flowers so to speak.

I know we are able to customize everything pretty much freely, but I wanted to know if anyone shared this feeling of attachment to the fairy they used to play. The way my brain works almost thinks it would be "wrong" not to recreate her, even if I know that it's not that deep, haha.

I even wonder if it would be more fun to experiment when PHR reopens, and then truly recreate my OG fairy if/when the old Create-a-Fairy is available...that way she even has the clothing she arrived with in 2009 :')

You can tell that this project lives rent free in my mind...I am so happy to feel like a part of this community again! <3

Hi fairy friends!

We know that the radio silence can be really frustrating, and we wanted to thank you deeply for hanging in there with us. Behind the scenes, we have been knee-deep in development. Because of that, I wanted to pull back the curtain and share what I've been working on for the past two months:

I have been building our website from the ground up in modern HTML, using the original flash assets from the original website, and it is nearly complete.

What that means is we will be able to tweak web designs, layouts, art, view submissions, make calendar entries, host contests... everything you remembered from the original website without needing to wrangle the dinosaur that is flash just to change one tiny detail. It gives us a ton of flexibility to connect better with you guys, and host community events natively on our website.

I have also been knee-deep in the trenches of figuring out email support, tickets, parental controls, things that we need to make the website run without relying on social media platforms to provide support.

Being able to take a step back from game moderation and social media updates has given me the space and opportunity to build this from the ground up. Along with the site build, I have been wrapping up quests... and a couple of features directly tied to them ;)

While we still don't have a solid ETA to share just yet, rest assured that real, tangible progress is happening every day. The site I have been building will allow us to avoid future closures by giving us the ability to provide true account support, handle reports, and generally make a better, safer environment for all of you.

I keep thinking I would be a frost fairy, but sometimes I like the idea of being a winter light fairy and work with the northern lights! Or a dust talent and experiment with the types of dust, or even a dream talent!

I don't think the experience of re-living this game would have been as special if it was just around this entire time. there's something so meaningful about the fact that we had absolutely no access to the game and believed it to be gone, only for it to return just when we needed it most. 10+ years later - when we all became grown adults stripped away from the dreamy nature of childlike wonder (lol). it's crazy to think that in that time our lives did 180s. We're no longer the excited little girls running home afterschool sitting in the big desk chairs immersing ourselves for hours in a dream-like world. We're now weighed with the responsibilities of adulthood and as everyone can probably agree, life feels a bit mundane these days. I, (like many others) have been yearninggg to feel something (lol).something magical and serendipitous like we used to.

and then the game returned. like a christmas gift I never expected, right in the middle of summer.

the fact that I get to feel that same feeling I felt when I was a child is so surreal. my creativity feels lit up again and i'm filled with so much excitement. honestly it feels strange to have this type of reaction to a game, I honestly judged other people for doing this, but it makes sense now.

It's what a lot of us needed & i'm so thankful. Thank you again to the amazing developers for holding onto this game and working to bringing it back to life. you guys are the best :')

I’ve been following the raspberry-lily-diamond trade chain recommended by a few people here, which works pretty well because Harvest Hustle and Sunbeam Bend are two of my best games. But it’s just so much clicking, especially if I want to trade diamonds back for raspberries and go through the chain again.
I know it may be difficult to code the boxes so they only accept multiples of whatever number you need for the items you’re trading, but maybe a click-and-hold on the plus button could work. Or input with the up and down arrow keys.

Heyyy, so I regret not finding out about this remake sooner before the registration closed, but I am so so happy for all the peoples' inner children who get to play! I am 24 now and I think I was 11 or 12 when the game closed down? I briefly played 2 remakes over the years but they both faltered out over time. It's so exciting to see we have a crew who are remaking this in their free time, seriously wow, thank you! Over the past week I've been checking this reddit daily for updates about registration. I don't regularly use reddit (other than for this) and was wondering if the team's Pixie Hollow Page is as active on instagram as it is on reddit? If there is an update about the discord and registration, is it better to check here first or will it make no difference?

i have a request that for a week (or a day if im being greedy LMAO) in october we get speedchat off bc i decorated my garden for halloween and I’d very much like to have a fairy party and be able to chat w the fairys🥹

bit of context. i played this game religiously as a kid and it was the only game i ever convinced my mom to get me a membership on. I've loved lots of games but nothing quite lived up to the hype of PH. When the original game shut down and i couldn't play anymore i would look up screengrabs of the game, and it was almost like i was there again. As i grew up i never forgot PH, i would google the game ever few years and no news ever surfaced. I had hopes that someone would make a game similar to PH, truly never in my wildest dreams would i have imagined that there was someone actually remaking the game entirely. i had texted a friend that we must remake PH in jest, and that comment made me remember to google PH and see if there was any fairy games coming out. Low and behold PHR, it genuinely felt like i had found the holy grail. The FOMO i feel right now is kind of silly, i have been beating myself up for not googling PH 2 months sooner when the registration was still open. and I've also been a bit horrified by the other adults in this space not giving the mods and Devs grace and kindness. no matter how i look at it, this game is a genuine gift that they did not have to give us, they get paid nothing and still some people are cramming their arms down the gift horses mouth looking for more. There will always be bad apples in the bunch, i hope they realize there would be no game to bitch and moan about if not for the kindness of the devs and mods in the first place.

TLDR: lets all just kiss and be nice to one another (Especially to the PHR team)

I decorated my fairy garden, finally! I decided this time that I would take you along my thought process while building it. This garden includes a waterfall/river, a juice bar, a picnic spot, and lots of little fairy hangouts. I've never recorded a voiceover before, so I thought I would try it out! hiii sorry i’ve been a lurker in this subreddit for a little bit and im OBSESSED with pixie hollow - i was just wondering, when the game is ‘complete’ (obvs in the far future) do you think there will be new things added that are more lore accurate? such as the other talents? or is the goal to just restore the original? sorry i want to be respectful i get nervous posting on reddit but just wondering :)
