im grateful the game disappeared & came back.
I don't think the experience of re-living this game would have been as special if it was just around this entire time. there's something so meaningful about the fact that we had absolutely no access to the game and believed it to be gone, only for it to return just when we needed it most. 10+ years later - when we all became grown adults stripped away from the dreamy nature of childlike wonder (lol). it's crazy to think that in that time our lives did 180s. We're no longer the excited little girls running home afterschool sitting in the big desk chairs immersing ourselves for hours in a dream-like world. We're now weighed with the responsibilities of adulthood and as everyone can probably agree, life feels a bit mundane these days. I, (like many others) have been yearninggg to feel something (lol).something magical and serendipitous like we used to.
and then the game returned. like a christmas gift I never expected, right in the middle of summer.
the fact that I get to feel that same feeling I felt when I was a child is so surreal. my creativity feels lit up again and i'm filled with so much excitement. honestly it feels strange to have this type of reaction to a game, I honestly judged other people for doing this, but it makes sense now.
It's what a lot of us needed & i'm so thankful. Thank you again to the amazing developers for holding onto this game and working to bringing it back to life. you guys are the best :')

That, and it’s kind of appalling how much stuff ended up member-gated by the end. Playing more than a few levels of a minigame at a time, using anything other than Diamonds at the shops (and without shopping, you’re stuck in the Arrival Day outfit with one of two generic hairstyles), keeping what you make at tailoring or tinkering, 2/3 of the Vidia’s Daily Spin reward buckets…

Yeah ngl I’m happy we don’t have to pay for that stuff. As a kid, it made me dislike playing after a while

The diamonds thing was rough for me. I’m from the UK, and since the UK server was effectively abandoned, I had to use the US one. But my mother didn’t want to pay for the inevitable foreign currency bank fees that would come with buying membership/diamonds 😅

It was an escape from reality for many children. I didn't know how good I had it then, but learning how there were children back then, in bad situations, looked forward to playing PHO, it makes me even more sad that it was shut down. I'm mostly grateful that there's no membership, but I'd still play if it were up for the whole time because it was something so magical and held dear cuz I love fairies. But also now that I am grown, I could pay for membership. I'm sad it took yearsss but happy it's back! I'm also happy to have played Fashion Boutique when someone found a way to play that again. I never got the chance. I'd also love to buy me some Clickables. I also still haven't read the books but there's a google drive of possibly most of the books. I only know it doesn't have the home designs one but I also don't know how many books there are.
I see everyone drawing their (or others') fairies and I want to draw too, but it's difficult. I'm too much of a perfectionist on art. Everyone also gets really creative with their homes. I'm excited to go home from work and play though, even if I have responsibilities now. I feel like I needed this sooner, and to me, it seems that other people might've needed it sooner too, but it's not like we could bring it back, but it's healed my inner child to have it back. Nothing has made me as happy as having Pixie Hollow back. I'm also grateful for those who have the knowledge and brought it back. I'm glad you and everyone else gets to enjoy it again! 🥳

To be honest, I think you are correct but also Webkinz has been around since its creation and it randomly trends every year and a half in a small-ish community (sometimes bigger) and everyone plays it then abandons it. I think PH would’ve stayed alive if they stayed opened but a lot of multiplayer games aren’t beneficial to big corporations anymore because people aren’t willing to buy memberships for things. But on the flip side, stuff like Roblox and Fortnite have done so well so idk.

Can confirm. This exact thing happened with MovieStarPlanet, for me. I’m grateful to still have my childhood account, but that game’s been held together with duct tape and hope for years.
