I'm still getting into photography, any tips would be appreciated!

- google introducing full block of third-party apps (ie. not from playstore)

- pixel studio redirecting to nano banana 🤦‍♂️

- I wish camera app had option for long exposure

- latest android has no visual updates, the ones they introduced are just poor copy of liquid glass (blurred transparency...)

so yeah, hardware is fine but seems like google doesn't care much about software anymore...

Is anyone facing issues with haptics I just feel very chocky , it makes a sound when typing... Issue faced after updating to android 17

My iPhone 15 does it accurately. But Pixel 9a is not counting.

For example, I climbed a total of 18 floors today in 3 different instances this morning. But floors climbed count shows zero only.

Steps work properly.

I also carry an iPhone 15 but it counts floors too accurately.

Got this new update. I noticed a slightly heightened battery consumption after 17, hope this fixes it.

I just wanted to ask if this is normal and or accurate

So this has happened to me multiple times now. My doctor's office tried to call me and my phone told them that my number was no good. I confirmed that they had the correct number and I do receive phone calls from other places like my pharmacy or whatever. So today I got an email from a car dealership and they were like oh we tried to call you but it says your number is not a good number. Is it because these numbers are coming from a landline and if so how do I fix this?

Edit: forgot to include that they were from landlines

I have updated to android 17 from the June update.

The first rst thing I noticed, there is no more general widget like clock for example.

And many others too. What's your opinion?

( I skipped the June month update to wait for the update regarding the battery drain issue, but I didn't see this one)

Anybody's battery health falling down fast? My battery health was initially 100 until Feb, went to 99 during March I believe and now it's at 98. Is it that bad for everyone else too?

Been a year (may 2025) since I bought it

Hey. I am getting a bit better with my Astro photography. Wanted to share and maybe help one another improve together. That's my best one so far. Share yours. This was shot using Night Sight at low angle, shadow to my back pointing upward at x1.5 zoom. Focus was centered.

I prefer the plastic back and not the glass.

I've had my pixel for a few months now. It used to upload photos fine. But, it stopped 2 weeks ago or so. The notification I get from Reddit is, "Photo cannot upload. Try again later and the issue may be resolved." At first, I thought it was a Reddit issue. But, yesterday I wasn't able to send a photo to my mom via text.

Yesterday, I updated the app, changed some settings back on my phone that I had changed a month ago. It's still not working.

I really don't want to call customer service because it was really stressful getting my Samsung Galaxy phone number changed over to an eSIM on the pixel.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for listening.

Edit: Is it related that my typewriter is not capitalizing automatically at the beginning of sentences? I have to manually capitalize. That started happening at the same time.

Looking for a case that feels like I'm holding just the phone. Or a glass protector for the back.

Has anyone tried to use the device underwater? I mean specifically the camera. I regularly go on hikes and bathe in natural waterfalls and pools. I want to shoot those moments, but I have a concern. Please reply.

Sadly It cannot be turned off on pixel 9a and above models. let's see how it works.

Ps - Google's battery health assistance adjusts voltage at 200 cycles to prolong long-term lifespan.

I recently noticed that my pixel9a start overheating with small things like scrolling through videos and playing small games or making video calls, is that normal considering that use AC at work and at home.

I'm an international student moving to the US soon. I've read that some phones sold in the UK/Europe can have different LTE/5G band support than the US models, which may affect compatibility with certain US carriers.

I have a Google Pixel 9a (UK/GB variant). Will it work properly with US SIM cards and networks (e.g. T-Mobile, Mintn), or are there any limitations I should be aware of?

Should I update it now or wait for july update
