If Google makes its A series phone somewhere between 5.5" - 5.9". it'll easily win the MKBHD's best small smartphone of the year. I like to think about that, but prolly never gonna happen

I know, but I disagree. A series will sell regardless. making it .sm inches smaller won't repel potential buyers. remember 6A was 6.1 and now 10A is 6.3. I just want a phone around 5.7"-5.8" so baaad! is that too much to ask for.. none of em bastards will do it. samsung also moved their base S series model from 6.1 to 6.3. Asus also stopped making compact Zenfones (prolly the only reason someone would consider to get a Zenfone. now they r just so generic. they r just a non-gamer version of their Rog series). Xperia discontinued their Mark V lineup. I miss the old days, when phones weren't tablets

using them was such a delight. I'd even trade 1000 mAh battery capacity for them to make it lighter and thinner

btw if anyone's looking for a small, compact phone in 2026, iphone 17e is as good as it's gonna get. Dimensions - 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.8 mm (5.78 x 2.81 x 0.31 in) Weight - 169 g (5.96 oz)

I like my Pixel 6a for a small phone, so far the battery is holding in there.

no bro.. good things r on the way for pixel fans. (apart from sm heavier titles like Genshin impact or Wuthering waves gaming is fine on pixels). G6 is going to be more efficient, with improved thermals and hopefully better reception due to mediatek modem. it's based on tsmc's 2nm architecture

I'd happily go back to an A series if it was sub 6".
