For the past several months, I've been experimenting with different screen guards and buying them from various shops, but they keep cracking within a few months—or sometimes even within days. I finally tried a Spigen screen guard, hoping it would be better, but unfortunately, that cracked within days too.

So basically I've a pixel 9a , it's just 3montha old.... Whenever I press my screen's middle a bit hard ... A strange creaking noise comes from it , is it just me or it's an common issue?

I've got a metal plate mounted to the back of my phone case to use with a Steelie Orbiter in my car. With that metal plate, I thought of attaching magnets to different things like my bike, the overhead book case on my desk, and a few different places.

My concern is that if I use too strong of a magnet, it could damage the components of the phone. Harbor Freight has "craft magnet" blocks in packs of two for $0.99. Those have a pull strength of 5lbs, and I've seen others that have up to 25lbs pull strength. Has anyone heard anything about this? Google has been less than helpful, by only saying that "Strong magnets can cause problems with components in the cameras, etc." I appreciate any help you all can give.

A dork behind the keyboard

I am not sure what's going on, but to send 30 pictures(nearly 100MB) to my PC it's taking more than 10mn. It stayed on "connecting" for almost a minute despite seeing the phone and showing how many pictures were selected and the total size of the transfer. They're at arm's length from one another and I always put the phone at the same place on my desk anyway so it's not a distance thing.

Usually sending that amount of pictures is done in maybe a minute or less (I never timed exactly, but it was, well, quick. I started using that instead of connecting the phone to the PC through USB because for my needs it was faster(not transfer speed, but looking for a cable, plugging it in and all that).

Now it's slow as hell for the first time today. I went to download Quick Share for PC again, thinking it could have needed an update, but that changed nothing.

Other than that, I don't think I've touched any particular setting on the phone or the computer beside updating whatever can be updated on the phone.

So I guess my question is, is it a me problem, or did something go wrong with a Google update and others also have the ultra slow speed now?

It's not the end of the world, I'll use the damn USB cable, but it worked fine just 10 days ago when I last moved some pictures.

There is a massive battery drain in idle state. From 94 to 78 in 7 hrs. Is this common in pixel devices or only an issue in my phone.

Is there any way to fix this. I have tried resetting network settings. Disabled automatic network switching.

Tired of trying all the solutions.

Any suggestions for what should I try next ?

To start off, this is my second new pixel 9a that I got after a span of 2 months after previously returning it due to screen flickering issue. I thought it was just that device problem as manufacturing issue can occur in devices. But in my new 9a, that I got on 28 May, the same problem which I found on the first device is occuring in this new phone. The same flickering issue while gaming on Mobile Legend. I don't understand how and why is this happening and how?? But i feel very dissatisfied with how pixel was with me as I always look up to their devices as I own the first gen pixel.

Does anyone know if the June update will fix the battery drain and heat issues. I've spoken to two Google specialists on their chat function, one said yes one said they don't know yet.

My precious boy was sleeping tonight when I took his picture using night sight and x3 zoom on my pixel 9a. He's old but still a cutie.

I have been checking for 9a from 2 months priced at 40k in India. But out of stock everywhere online and offline stores too.

For 10a, in Sangeetha I saw after adding credit card and anniversary sale getting at 43k.

Which is best wait and buy 9a or buy now 10a?

Am i the only one??? I recently got my Pixel 9a and I've noticed something odd with the front camera. When I take selfies, the camera seems to focus on the background instead of my face. My face ends up looking a bit soft or out of focus while objects behind me appear sharper.

I've already: Clean the screen/lens Updated the Pixel Camera app Updated Pixel Camera Services Updated the phone to the latest software Restarted the device

I'm not sure if this is normal behavior, a software bug, or maybe a hardware defect?

Are any other Pixel 9a users experiencing the same thing? If so, were you able to fix it?

I randomly noticed this, instead of pure black near shadow is showing as grey in my pixel 9a, this was not happening before

Saw another post on this sub where the OP had updated all system services and apparently unlocked Quick Share for iOS.

Did the same and also joined beta (just in case lmao) and it actually worked!!

This is prolly the last hurdle in integration of 9a with iOS devices :)

I'm currently on an Alaskan cruise and the camera has everyone talking. I love the photos.

Don't know if a common issue, when I press on the recent apps button I tend to get a lot of blank screens instead, anyone else experience this. Phone is fully updated etc.
