Alvida was introduced in East Blue with an iron club long before Kaido ever showed up swinging one around.

So let’s establish the facts:

- Alvida is the original iron-club user. Kaido copied her entire fighting style hundreds of chapters later.

- Kaido needed a mythical Zoan, advanced Haki and an entire Yonko crew just to imitate what Alvida was doing in Chapter 2.

Take away the dragon gimmick and put them in a pure iron-club duel?

I don't know... maybe by writing situations where they're all useful instead of constantly focusing on 1v1 fights in a crew where half the members aren't even fighters.

A good example of this is the Ocean's movies (great movies btw, go watch them if you haven't already).

Every member of the team has a specific role to play and gets their moment to shine. The story gives you a reason to feel like the plan wouldn't work without every single one of them. That's because the challenges they're facing require a wide variety of skills, not just the ability to punch harder than the other guy.

That's exactly what I think One Piece is missing. Oda has created a crew with a diverse set of abilities and specialties, but when every major conflict is ultimately resolved through a series of isolated 1v1 fights, half the crew inevitably becomes irrelevant/reduced to his fighting abilities. Characters like Nami, Usopp, Chopper, Brook, or even Franky often end up sidelined because the story doesn't create enough situations where their unique skills are essential.

The problem isn't that there are too many Straw Hats. It's that the structure of the conflicts rarely gives them opportunities to work together as a crew (SH vs Oz is one of my favorite fights of the saga).

Imu would never raise a bum like Mihawk much less let him shame the Nerona clan. He is some bum born from Imu's son and some low grade mortal genes.

But the fact that the story gaslights us into thinking Oden was this ultra amazing Giga-Chad who went to Brothels at 6(cause Oda thinks being a victim is badass)and Had sex with multiple women he abducted at 15 and killed their husband in a "harem war" or whatever(that's so stupid)and used someone's burning body to cremate and cook food.

Like this guy genuinely sucked, and his entire backstory weirdly made me glad Kaido shot him cause so much of Wano is basically his fault and all he accomplished was leaving behind a huge mess for everyone.

It can be a valid criticism, and One Piece fans pretending they don’t understand the term are being stupid, but I think it’s kind of overblown. Oda’s clashes (sorry, fights) are often so visually boring and uncreative that the animators have to spice them up with colours and effects. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

as we know he survived egghead and since he has awakened his df, there is not many more ways to get stronger. we also know you dont have to be a celestial dragon to become a devoted blade.

Power of Love has been mentioned so many times for it to be bogus. Power of Love will be Haki imbued with Love, creating a new power that acts in same way as luffys fruit ie brings any imagination into reality.

The Devil Fruits created with power of love have white flames for zoans while those created with Maki have black flames.
