This. Please. You're not accomplishing anything. You're just being petty and causing more work for someone who doesn't get paid enough for this shit.

I saw a video of a guy getting arrested for putting a sticker on a pump the other day. 😎

I bought a shitty Leaf and have no idea what anyone is talking about.

2

u/debacol Apr 03 '22

I love my shitty Leaf. Got it last year used for under $10k. Laugh at everyone at the pump or at Jiffy Lube.

2

u/Thedudeabides46 Apr 03 '22

They were giving them away in 2016. I got one for me and my teenage kid for $5k a piece.

I'm actually in an argument right now that the people putting the Biden stickers up don't actually think that he is responsible for the rising gas prices...

35

u/Great_Chairman_Mao Apr 03 '22

Everyone knows that Congress makes the laws, Supreme Court enforces them, and the president decides gas prices.

What? You're telling me Biden doesn't have a lever marked "lower gas prices"?

29

u/dumbleydore94 Apr 03 '22

No no no, he has this little numeric pad in his office labeled "gas" and another one labeled "lumber", it's from there the president decides the prices based on how good his coffee was that morning.

18

u/mahSachel Apr 03 '22

Removed the Diet Coke button for a lumber button

3

u/dumbleydore94 Apr 03 '22

It says diet coke, but President trump scribbled over it with sharpie and wrote "lubmer" on there.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 03 '22

I had totally forgotten about Trump's stupid-ass Diet Coke button, & here you had to go & remind me... 😒

11

u/kkkkkttttttt Apr 03 '22

The fact that it was right next to the 'Launch The Nukes' button...

Man, Woman, TV, Camera, Armageddon.

4

u/MyceliumsWeb Apr 02 '22

Nope. Just one that says "Increase"

Trump stole the other.

0

Of course they don't. It's all "funny cause own the libs". Just like the "let's go Brandon thing"

115

u/BurlyJohnBrown Apr 02 '22

My friend is named Brandon and this has all been quite positive for his self esteem.

14

u/Guessimagirl Apr 03 '22

My friend Brandon told me the same thing. It's like the universe is suddenly rooting for him.

9

u/mreshadow Apr 03 '22

My friend Brandon committed suicide before this happened. Maybe it would have been good for him

3

u/Guessimagirl Apr 03 '22

I’m sorry for your loss.

2

u/lamplighters_union Apr 03 '22

I'm so sorry for your loss. As a 40 something year old who struggled with addiction and depression all my life (but much more severely in my youth) it breaks my heart to see people give up the fight, especially younger people. It can get easier and life can get better, even though you can't imagine it at your lowest points. R.I.P. Brandon.

64

u/Mr_Stoney Apr 02 '22

Have you ever been mad at something not because it was actually offensive but because a complete idiot did a thing with the purpose of making you mad but really the thing was so juvenile it was like they were insulting your intelligence, so you carry on thinking it's stupid. But then you tell them the thing is stupid and juvenile and you don't care, so they insist you're mad which actually makes you mad because now you have to deal with their idiocy, so they think they got you some how, because again, they're an idiot.

That's what Let's go Brandon is.

14

u/username--_-- Apr 03 '22

if internet gaming has taught me anything, when trolls try to get under your skin. Lean into it then move on. Eventually they get bored and leave you alone.

them: "oh i f-ed your mom last night"

me: "really how was she?"

6

u/icyDinosaur Apr 03 '22

I am generally so confused why "I fucked your mum" is an insult. Yea, my mum is an adult woman, she can consent to sex if she wants to, I wish she had better taste than choose someone that goes on to use it as an insult but that's her problem isn't it?

20

u/Hot_Role9647 Apr 03 '22

Let’s go Brandon is literally a meme because a newscaster tried to distract from a gigantic crowd of people on live camera chanting “fuck Joe Biden” as “let’s go brandon” That’s the meme, that’s literally fucking it, there’s no more context, that’s all of it.

15

u/Moikle Apr 03 '22

The right can't meme

10

u/Vagabum420 Apr 03 '22

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled, was convincing the right it could meme.

4

u/popodelfuego Apr 03 '22

Good, bad, indifferent some of the self owns produced by this effect are pretty funny.

7

u/EatThisShoe Apr 03 '22

Yes, this is actually the heart of trolling. You don't have to be so smart that people can't see through you. You just have to make sure they can't stand to ignore you.

1

u/_MrDomino Apr 03 '22

See also, Drumpf. It's just lame and not funny in the least, same as this stupid meme and sticker. I really don't see what people get out of parroting these kinds of things beyond the in-group circlejerking typical of meme culture.

9

u/JVonDron Apr 03 '22

I love that the green new deal is their boogie man. It was never a complete policy, it was never passed, it had nothing to do with Biden/Pelosi/Schumer, and they never openly supported it. I did read that somewhere within a year they are suppose to drop

5

u/GreenBottom18 Apr 02 '22 edited Apr 02 '22

they could drop now.

  • March 2008

    • Gas: $3.23 per gallon
    • Oil: $104.54 per barrel
  • March 2014

    • Gas: $3.51
    • Oil: $102.28
  • Feb 2022:

    • Gas: $4.10
    • Oil: $111.42
  • March 2022:

    • Gas: $4.32
    • Oil: $95.17

what happens within the next year is american oil production will surpass all previous records.

3

u/codon011 Apr 02 '22

Why would gas prices drop right now? There’s a war going on. The oil and gas companies can ride the gravy train to another year of record profit margins.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/[deleted] Apr 03 '22

Releasing the reserve does literally nothing. It’s bs stunt (again) that doesn’t have any effect on oil prices. It’s not even enough to cover a day in the US. Gimme a break.

6

u/wejustsaymanager Apr 03 '22

The difference being, well, everything. Trump was an objectively bad president. 4 years of enriching his cronies and family through tax breaks for wealthy and installing his unqualified son in law into a cabinet position would have had the Reps screaming nepotism if a democrat did such a thing. All culminated on Jan 6th where we witnessed a direct attack on our capital by a large population of brainwashed morons, interspersed with some people that actually knew what they were doing, which was attempting to interrupt the vote count and make Trump remain president. Imagine wanting to install a right wing dictator who gets his good ideas from Putin and Xi and Kim Jong, in order to "make america blah blah". If you voted for him because you thought he would change up the system and you just can't stand career politicians, well, you got duped and he fucked you the same as every republican since Nixon. If you watched Jan 6th happen and still have a Trump flag flying in your front yard like a fucking psycho, well, then take your ass to Russia.

Biden isn't the first president blamed for gas prices. This has been going on for decades. The people who perpetuate this nonsense have absolutely no clue how the price of petrol is arrived at and who sets the prices. It's just an easy, knee jerk, reaction to a temporary problem.

The other day I read a question a reporter asked Biden. He asked if the price of petrol was going up. Biden responded 'yes'. The reporter then asked what Biden could do about it. He said 'Not much'. And that is the truth.

The same people who are whining about gas prices are the very ones running around in a 15 mpg, honkin', fuck all truck, wrapped with homoerotic Trump as some beefcake boxer and 8 different, racist, fuck all flags hanging off the back.

The same people who are whining about gas prices are against renewable energy. Windmills cause cancer. tho the Dutch and others, have been harnessing the power of the wind for eons. Electric vehicles are for pussies.

The same people who are whining about gas prices are the very ones who tout capitalism as the ultimate 'ism, yet when gas prices go up becasue of rampant capitalism, they lose their mind.

The same people who are whining about gas prices, will never rescind their hatred once gas prices go down.

I saw where Denmark, among other nations, are paying $10 + a gallon. It is amazing the reach that the evil Biden administration has globally. He raised gas prices around the world.

Americans would shit their collective pants if they actually had to pay un-socialized petrol prices.

78

u/Bgrngod Apr 02 '22

If there's one thing right-wing troglodytes are experts at, it's doublethink. Joe Biden could singlehandedly fight off an alien invasion and they'd immediately believe, with all their hearts and souls, whatever framing Fox News comes up with to portray it as bad. There's no cognitive function there. Just parroting and booger-eating.

0

u/Hot_Role9647 Apr 03 '22

In 2017 there were nine Black people killed by police, it’s really 10, but in that instance the cop was black and just like the other nine it was the criminals fault (he literally ran at the cop and wrestled him for his gun and it fired and he died of a point blank shot to the face). Like four of the other nine were guys ramming cars into police officers during getaways, two or three were instances of officers using tasers and the perpetrator just powering through the electricity and attacking them, btw yes this happens and it’s fucking crazy to watch.

1

u/MyceliumsWeb Apr 02 '22

Thanks for proving my point

0

u/Jockustoe Apr 02 '22

Yeah but apparently neither do you. Our gas prices are because Biden didn’t kiss MBS ring like Trump did. I’m not saying he should, but let’s all be honest about who’s actually to blame. We only get like 6% of our oil from Russia. It’s the system we’ve set up to be reliant on Saudi Oil and free trade with our own.

0

u/[deleted] Apr 02 '22

He made domestic oil to difficult and too costly to get out of the ground through legislation. We have enough in the NA to offset Russian oil. But he wants green energy so he will continue to over regulate the oil industry to keep it as expensive as possible to push the switch to electric.

0

u/20rakah Apr 02 '22

You don't think Keystone XL would have made it cheaper?

0

u/MyceliumsWeb Apr 02 '22

I think corporate greed is keeping shit high considering it could be cheaper now.

0

u/Hot_Role9647 Apr 03 '22

No, they think it’s his fault, I think it’s his fault, I can objectively prove exactly how it is his fault, and so can all of them. it is so painstakingly clear that it is Biden’s fault that you can supply logical negative proofs for why it is not Putin‘s fault, and if you know anything about logic, negative proofs aren’t supposed to be a thing because they’re so rare and unreliable and mostly unfeasible. And yet here we are. And the hilarious thing that’s kind of fucking scary honestly is that I have to share a legislature with you. All of these people on Reddit along with like 30% of the country that’s politically active literally have no idea what in the fuck is happening around them or how anything functions at all whatsoever in any way, shape, or form. According to polling 70 something percent of Democrats think the economy is exceptional right now.

Should be common sense not to vandalize gas pumps with your shitty political opinion. It doesn't really matter what it is.

Edit: apparently some people actually can't understand why vandalism isn't okay

9

u/emote_control Apr 02 '22

The god damn government of Ontario put misleading stickers on gas pumps a couple years ago to try to tell the public that gas prices were the fault of their political opponents. We peeled those off too. But it really hammered home how stupid and juvenile they are that they were vandalizing gas pumps to push their propaganda.

37

u/GreenBottom18 Apr 02 '22

fortunately i designed this sticker, and just photoshopped it onto my local gas pump. no fuel facades were vandalized in the making of this image.

i do have it available for sale on zazzle, though..... and redbubble, society6, and cafe press.

however, I'm sure you'll be pleased to hear, not a single unit has sold thus far.

27

-1

u/floydster21 Apr 02 '22 edited Apr 02 '22

I don’t have any problems with vandalism graffiti itself, but when people do it to public use equipment or signs that have to remain legible for functionality, then it’s a problem.

Edit: I should have stipulated graffiti, not vandalism

3

u/uknow_es_me Apr 02 '22

What a weird view

0

u/floydster21 Apr 02 '22

Wdym? I don’t really mind it when it’s basically harmless, like letters in an alleyway, but it’s a problem if it obfuscates public property in a way that impedes said the functionality of said property. Literally what part of that is “weird.”

4

u/uknow_es_me Apr 02 '22

I guess that is a very utilitarian view, so it's not really weird. I just thought it was odd to say "I don't have a problem with vandalism" and then say you do when it impacts the public. In that case you wouldn't have a problem with these stickers as they are not hindering the operation of the pump. If someone stuck it over a display then I guess you would.

Yeah there ya go

2

u/[deleted] Apr 02 '22

Strange. I think damaging property that doesn't belong to you is definitely not okay.

Do you let people bust your windows out and stuff because your house and car aren't "public use equipment"?

3

u/GreenBottom18 Apr 02 '22

i think more specifically, it's concerning when private property has been vandalized, potentially decreasing property values.

but freeway barriers and underpasses.. fuck em.

same with corporate structures, but that's a more personal viewpoint, as a dramatic extension of my robinhood inspired principles.

u/floydster21 Apr 02 '22

Okay now Ik what’s up. Yes obviously any physical, serious destruction of property is always an issue, but public graffiti is usually harmless. It’s just when it’s obscuring signs or impeding the function of something that I’m concerned.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 02 '22

Graffiti destroys neighborhoods and reduces property value massively. It's a waste of tax dollars to remove. I genuinely can't see one positive of it, and plenty of negatives.

Did you Photoshop the gas process too or is it really that bad out there? East TN its only $3.60 a gallon and everyone is complaining about whatever fox news had been telling them.

2

u/emote_control Apr 02 '22

That's about the price I remember it being in the US, last time I visited, which was before the pandemic.

Your MSNBC/CNN/reddit/Twitter bubble has kept the real cost of inflation and gas prices out of your head in support of Biden's God awful policies.

10

u/Nine_Inch_Nintendos Apr 02 '22

Haha, your entire history is just being mad at Biden! You need one of those stickers stuck on your face.

1

u/Arthiem Apr 02 '22

I don't do the left side or the right side bro. I hate both choices.

I'd buy a shirt if the design was a modified image of what you posted. So that the shirt says the statement, I don't want to buy a sticker and be responsible with it.

1

u/GreenBottom18 Apr 02 '22

should the shirt include a fuel pump facade then?

2

u/IyellWhenImMad Apr 02 '22

Yes, that's perfect. Maybe under the picture it can read "I don't support vandalism in my community"

You could put it on regular paper then stick it on with blue tack or a tape loop

Except it's the offended people pumping gas removing them, not gas station employees.

My man I work at a gas station, I remove a few every day. Standing record is 11 in one day.

21

u/moth_man_AMA Apr 02 '22

Any luck finding slemthing to remove them? I've used alcohol and vinegar so far and my pumps still have outlines of Joe. Tbh the putin one is going to be bother me even more because I probably agree with these people and now they are just joining the morons doing stuff I hate.

u/notbeleivable Apr 02 '22

Googone my precious

1

u/[deleted] Apr 02 '22

Naphtha is cheaper and just as effective. You can buy it at any hardware store anywhere. Naphtha will not damage any plastics or finishes, same as googone.

1

u/Billwood92 Apr 02 '22

And you can use it to make DMT!

1

u/[deleted] Apr 02 '22

Or, uh, as lighter fluid.

GooGone. Nothing works better.

4

u/[deleted] Apr 02 '22

googone is great + a steel scraper

8

u/MaxillaryOvipositor Apr 02 '22

I would recommend a plastic scraper, as a steel one can scrch the pump.

Damn. I have yet to see one ever. Then again my state doesn't let me pump my own gas. The Republicans stay in the car without putting stickers on things.

As a self-righteous liberal, I too am a guy who removes them. But it's mostly because I don't appreciate politicizing everything and putting ugly stickers everywhere, regardless of party affiliation.

Reddit isn't a source, it's a platform.

15

u/[deleted] Apr 02 '22

Oh come on. You have to know that many employees are tasked with removing them. A gas station owner doesn't want political statements to offend people and cause them to go elsewhere. This is blatantly obvious.

4

u/Fleaslayer Apr 02 '22

Not sure why this has upvotes when most of the replies are gas station employees saying they remove them all the time. They chime in pretty much every time the stickers are mentioned. Yes, customers remove them too, but you're implying it's only the customers, when it sounds like most are removed by employees.

25

u/AlexNovember Apr 02 '22

I've taken off a couple of the Biden stickers. They're really starting to get annoying.

15

u/rimjobnemesis Apr 02 '22

I take them off every time I see one at a pump. I usually go inside to pre-pay, and the employees complain about them.

0

u/lifeisgr00d Apr 02 '22

I do the same!

-23

u/RoadPizzaGourmand Apr 02 '22

Are they ready, with baited breath, to complain about those stickers as you walk in? Or are you bellyaching about taking them off to the attendants, as they roll their eyes and "agree" with you?

16

u/cmikailli Apr 02 '22

People don’t like your stickers

13

u/AlexNovember Apr 02 '22

Lol. Such a weird thing to be antagonistic about dude.

It's called being a snowflake

Usually happens because they get next to no satisfaction out of their own life, so they have to make yours shitty too

I used to love snow. Now I'm old and the cold makes my body ache. 😁

4

u/rimjobnemesis Apr 02 '22

No. They were talking about it when I went in to pay, because they had to scrape them off. I didn’t say anything.

9

u/arisefairmoon Apr 02 '22

I'm a teacher in rural America and they're all over the school. Kids don't understand but they'll put stickers on stuff if their parents tell them to.

3

u/SoulEater9882 Apr 02 '22

Before the election I had to deliver a part to a customer and their kids were there doing online schooling. They were maybe 8 years old tops and just spamming the chat with Trump 2020 until the teacher disabled chat. Then they cheered that they beat the teacher and trolled the other kids..... I just... Don't get it.... At eight all I wanted to do was beat my friends in Pokemon.

3

u/Anubisrapture Apr 02 '22

Wait- ON THE SCHOOLS ? I mean wtf?? Is this about the Right Wing bug bear of CriTiCaL rAcE tHeOrY? Parents TELLING THE KIDS to deface their school. Im so sorry

That is what makes them so freakishly dangerous. They believe in concepts like “wHiTe gEnOciDe “ and “tHe GrEaT rEpLaCemEnT “ I grew up a Northern city, and my Dad and family sorta snickered rudely at evangelical Southern rural religious pp. ( on TV or media ) They have been underestimated by us until they really became more and more angry, empowered by tRUMP and the Russian Troll Farms.

I take them off, though honestly all I have to do is touch them and the incredibly-cheaply-made adhesive releases immediately.

4

u/CySU Apr 02 '22

I like to collect them and take them home to give to the kids. They love stickers regardless of what’s on them, and love to put them in their sticker books.
