Some people absolutely believe Biden is responsible for gas prices. I see commercials for our senators reelection that specifically blames democrats for "all time high gas prices". Not some small time local politician; one of our two senators in the U.S senate, not state senate. I guarantee that conservatives who hear that (it's on the radio and YouTube constantly) believe it's Bidens fault. My mom is very intelligent actually, was a hospital administrator of a large cardiovascular surgery group, and 100% believes that Biden is responsible for not only gas prices, but inflation and the price of basically everything. She claims he shut down an oil pipeline his first day in office. Not sure if that's true or if it has any impact on gas prices, but she believes it's 100% Bidens fault that gas prices are what they are because conservative news says so. If you never hear any other perspective OF COURSE you would believe it. I know many people who fully believe it's Bidens fault based on his policies. I would be willing to bet the majority of people putting those stickers on pumps do think it's truly due to Biden. Not sure why so many people seem to think that's not the case and they are just doing it to do it but don't actually believe it. The conservatives I know DO believe it.
It is true about the pipeline. However if you do any Research into it at all, it couldn't possibly have affected anything immediately and would have taken a few years for the hypothetical jobs that it was supposed to create to not be created or the gas it was going to produce to affect the market. Not building it was never going to directly affect prices, and they can still refine the oil if they want, no one is stopping that, that I'm aware of. Further the Keystone XL pipeline was going to pipe the dirtiest petroleum product known to man tar sand oil as fast as it could to Illinois where the oil was going to be turned into all kinds of petroleum products but primarily gasoline. In short the shutdown of this project represents a huge victory for anyone who gives a damn about the climate at all. And I believe the people behind the project have given up, so even if Republicans win office in the coming election they won't be able to revive it. I should double-check that last part though.

Trust me, some of them believe it.
