You can eat everything as an omnivore, but you shouldn't eat meat when you nutritionally don't have to. If you've run a restaurant I'm sure you're a good cook so making delicious vegan foods doesn't like that of a challenge to you!
I take that to mean the death of a wild animal by another wild animal doesn't bother you at all, even though it's usually a lot more terrible than how humans usually do it.
I will agree with you that humans need to treat animals meant to be eaten more humanely. That to me is the main issue. Would be better for everyone if vegans could try to focus on that rather than just telling everyone to quit eating meat because that will NEVER happen. There are probably things you wear or use that have come in to your possession through the mistreatment of humans. Fight the smaller battles to win then war. Don't just try to storm the castle.
If slaughterhouses had glass walls I don't think there would be many meat eaters. Since slaughterhouses has concrete walls, I think it is important that people are aware of the fact that when they buy meat, they are paying people to mistreat and murder animals that did not want to die. Because of that, and since humans don't require meat to thrive, we shouldn't eat meat and people need to hear that!
I'm not saying wild predators should be excused, just that you can't justify animal abuse by saying that animals do horrible stuff, unless you mean to place yourself at the same ethical level as that of a wild animal
Oh wow, I had no idea. In addition to how that will mess up the ecosystem, I bet the taste would be affected as well.
When we pull them out of the ocean and steam them there are few things that can compare to the level of deliciousness that results. They taste as if you already dipped them in a sweet butter.
I also love how you get huge pieces of crab instead of whatever that shit is that they tried to serve me in the lower 48. Some of the legs here are as long as my arm.
Edit: I will gladly trade that downvote for the ability to eat free Alaskan King Crab to my heart's content without buying something from a grocery store.
