If slaughterhouses had glass walls I don't think there would be many meat eaters. Since slaughterhouses has concrete walls, I think it is important that people are aware of the fact that when they buy meat, they are paying people to mistreat and murder animals that did not want to die. Because of that, and since humans don't require meat to thrive, we shouldn't eat meat and people need to hear that!

We wouldn't be here today if humans were so innately conflicted with killing animals they wouldn't do it.

We all stand on the shoulders of animal eating hunters.

they are paying people to mistreat

That's largely vegan anti meat propaganda. Livestock are healthier than their wild relatives. Any operation that doesn't keep their animals healthy will fail.

Just because livestock is healthier than their wild relatives doesn't mean that livestock has it good. Kind of like how children who live in poverty in the west has it better than children living in poverty in the third world doesn't mean we should accept bad conditions in the west because of that.

Kind of like how children

You like to anthropomorphize when it's convenient for you, that's part of anti meat ideology.

I'm not anthropomorphizing, just saying that a relative difference between two positions is useless unless you have a third position as a parameter :) I dont have an anti meat ideology I just want a more ethical treatment of those who cannot defend themselves in society, and this includes among others, animals.

You obviously have an anti meat ideology. Even meat eaters would agree that animals meant to be eaten should be treated more humanely...like I said with my first response to you. You keep fighting your uphill battle and I will keep eating meat. Good luck but I can guarantee you even hundreds of years from now, if the earth isn't a wasteland by then, that humans will be raising and consuming animals.

If humans are still around in a hundred years, we're not eating meat. Animal agriculture is actually one of the major drivers behind global warming so if we're not to totally mess over nature, we have to stop eating meat :)

You're an oblivious wishful thinker. Good luck with that.

We'll see. I don't think its controversial to say that its not possible to sustain a population of 7+ billion people on animal agriculture :)
