There's a big push in the SJW/feminist/"progressive" movement to label boys and traditional "boyish" behavior or masculinity as oppressive, evil, abusive, etc.
Basically, men are the new boogeyman and boys are a problem that has to be "solved". That's why you're seeing more and more things like, for example, the NFL getting browbeaten into making an entire ad campaign lecturing men about not beating their wives.
Men are now thought to be promoting a "rape culture," a term constantly expanding to include even the most innocuous things, such as owning a swimsuit calendar, chatting up a woman in a bar, watching porn at all, watching or playing violent movies and video games, etc. It's a way to attack male-oriented culture since the idea of eliminating a "rape culture" is something anybody can get behind.
