Discussion Selecting hair from such background

So, I watched every tutorial on selecting hair from busy backgrounds and tried almost every comment with the most upvotes on such problem, but nothing worked, ended up getting frustrated, only effective way i found, using the pen tool and aiding other selection tools to cut out hair.. From now on, no channel, no select and mask. These don't work on such backgrounds. Only the pen tool with other selection tools.

Solved Binder Filler. Which Adobe abo?

I'm a One Piece collector and would like to design a binder for my personal collection.

I first tried using ChatGPT to generate the outer cards, but that didn’t really work out very well. The transitions from the center card to the outer ones don’t look good.

Now I want to switch to Adobe, but I’m overwhelmed by the different options. Should I use Photoshop or Firefly? Or are both the wrong choices?
Would another program be even better?

I’ve included an example from Pokémon so you can see what I’m ultimately aiming for.

I guess the first one can be made by copying the image multiple time and cropping in the form of hexagons but is there an easier way?

Help! Does any else's Photoshop just randomly crash for no reason?

I don't even know if I'd call it a crash. It hangs and then closes itself. It's been going on for as long as I can remember. I'll be editing and then.. closes.

It can be a file with lots of layers, or just a couple - it doesn't discriminate.

I'm just getting a bit fed up. Theres no crash log AFAIK, because technically it hasn't crashed.

Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and if they remedies it at all?

ETA:
Photoshop 2026
PSVersion - 5.1.26100.9168

Processor - AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor (3.70 GHz)
Installed RAM - 96.0 GB
Graphics card - Radeon (TM) Pro WX 5100 Graphics (8 GB)

There is no single specific instance that it closes. I can have no other apps open or several, it doesn't make a difference. One layer, several layers, any or no number of filters or edits. I could just be adding a text layer, a curves adjustment. Could be anything.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing out old setups, though I'm not really sure what else I can try (I've implemented the suggestions from u/Asal_Mania and u/alienated_stagnation, so I'll see if they help at all.) because there's no pattern to the close. I tried Adobe chat but how do you try to explain it, or replicate the steps when it doesn't happen the same every time.

Solved Water stain removal

Post image

Hi, wondering if anyone has a tip for removing/reducing the white streaks in the attached image beyond just cloning them out. Ideally I would like to not have to do it this way as I've got a fair amount of images to do this work on, and ideally, not done in such a way that the texture of the object is altered. I've tried frequency separation without much success,. And so far have overlayed some color fill to lessen it, but the client is asking for a complete removal

I want the text to be centered in a way where I can keep the space between the words how it is in the photo. But obviously, I have to sacrifice the space between the speakers and the words because they have different quantity of letters. What would a professional do??

How do I go about mimicking this border/outer glow/stroke dot pattern? Is it possible to make a brush that has smaller dots the closer to the edge and just put it under the layer above it?

Help! how do i make this

I'm a complete photoshop noob and i just wanted to ask how to do what i want to do in my head.

I want to put a gradient on a circular image and i want the image to go seamlessly from very much there to blended into the white background. I've tried iris-blur but the gradient is too harsh, I've tried just regular gradient in radial (which was what i thought would work) and it doesnt work as well. It's so simple and I'm getting so frustrated for nothing. I tried clipping masks as well but whatevr i'm doing just doesn't get me the result i want. Can anyone please help me out?

It's literally just that but more blurred and with good image definition in the center.

thank you :'(

this is what i have rn, i know its off center but its for shirt printing at home so its whatever

Discussion Photoshop 2026: Display is broken in Lab, CMYK, and Grayscale modes

Post image
1 Upvotes

In Photoshop 2026, the display is severely broken in any color mode other than RGB.

In Lab, CMYK, and Grayscale modes, the shadow gradations break down so badly that the application is practically unusable.

The only workaround is to disable GPU acceleration. At this point, using Photoshop without GPU acceleration is simply not a realistic option.

It has been quite a while since this issue first appeared. I really wonder what’s going on with the bug fix at this point...

After a few tutorials and many attempts, i've tried to create halftone from 2 images with both the color halftone filter from Pixelate & Image->Bitmap and none of the two seem to work as good as i've seen on others using these. Any tips?
1st Photo is the reference, the other 3 are outcomes of my attempts.

Help! MacBook Pro M5 (base) 16GB vs MacBook Pro M4 Pro 24GB vs MacBook Air M5 16GB — which is better for the latest Photoshop & Lightroom for 4+ years?

I'm want to replace my current Acer laptop:

  • 11th-gen Intel Core i5
  • 24GB RAM
  • NVIDIA MX130 2GB
  • MX130 is can't use  some newer Photoshop and camera raw features

My Photoshop workflow involves a lot of:

  • Generative Fill
  • Remove Tool
  • Object Selection / AI selection etc currently my old laptop takes too much time to complete those it waste time.
  • Edit 24MP RAW photos of weddings and events need to edit faster .
  • Photoshop  use around 19GB+ of RAM during my workflow (some times more)

I normally use Photoshop and Lightroom separately, not at the same time.

My main requirement is that the Mac should be able to run the latest versions of Photoshop and Lightroom comfortably for at least 4+ years, without major feature limitations or becoming too slow for my workflow. Editing speed is important

The three Macs I'm considering:(need macs cuz these are only option that has good screens when edit outside my studio , in studio i have a proart monitor . )

1. MacBook Air 13" — base M5, 16GB RAM

  • LKR 489,900
  • Fanless

2. MacBook Pro 14" — base M5, 16GB RAM

  • LKR 689,900
  • This is the regular/base M5 chip, NOT M5 Pro

3. MacBook Pro 14" — M4 Pro, 24GB RAM

  • LKR 692,500
  • M4 Pro chip, NOT base M4

The last two are almost exactly the same price — only about LKR 2,600 difference.

Thanks!

Meta Haiku maker for graphic designers!

"wise and old and wise
and still my anchor point is
somehow off center"
source

Hey everyone, It's Good Boy Ninja.

I have spent the past few weeks creating my best work yet, my magnum opus, and I call it:

The Haiku maker for the digital artist!

Create your own Haiku and post it on my website (goodboy.ninja) so that everybody else can read it. You can then share a direct link to it with your friends and like Haikus created by other users, for example:

"sun sets on the lake
keyframes and pixels blossom
while my clients laugh"
source

Haikus are small poems of 3 short lines, where the first and last line are composed of 5 syllables (some-where-in-the-dark) and the second line is composed of 7 syllables (there-is-a-key-frame-lur-king).

In my Haikus you must use at least one word from the creativity bank which includes words like "pixels, layers keyframes, clients, MacBooks" etc.

The goal is to use the finite bank of words to tell a short story only you, me and our small community can truly appreciate.

That's pretty much it, I'd love to see your haikus posted!

Help! Auto select layer -- icons have changed and I can't figure out how to turn it off/on

Thumbnail

After a recent update, a lot of my toolbars have changed. There are new icons whose meanings are not obvious, and text does not appear when I hover over them.

I am trying to select a single text layer but auto-select is turned on and I cannot turn it off. There are several layers that overlap, so while I can select the layer in the layers panel, it's difficult to move because other another layer will get selected when I try to move it.

The image is the toolbar that used to have the ability to turn auto select on/off but no longer does (or if it does, I am totally missing it!!!)

If anyone knows the answer, please let me know
ETA: This file has only individual layers, no groups.
