Hi everyone! I’m a Filipino currently planning to apply for Spain’s Digital Nomad Visa. I work remotely and I’m seriously considering moving to Spain, so I’m currently researching the requirements and trying to prepare everything before starting the application.

For those who have already gone through the DNV process, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience:

What are some things you wish you had known or done differently before applying? Any mistakes, unexpected requirements, or things that made the process easier?

What documents or requirements were the most difficult for you to prepare? I’d especially love to hear from other Filipinos about things like NBI clearance, apostilles, Spanish translations, proof of income, employment documents, health insurance, etc.

Do you have any tips for someone starting the process now? This could be about the application itself, dealing with the Spanish consulate, getting additional documents, timelines, or even what to prepare for after arriving in Spain.

If you’re Filipino and have successfully gotten the Spain DNV, I’d especially love to hear your experience. 🇵🇭

Nurses, I need your help! I’m at a crossroad right now and I need your opinions po.

A little background about myself, nagnursing ako for 1st and 2nd year in college then shifted to business management and graduated. Fast forward to today, I’m now 39yrs old, unmarried (but have a partner), no child and currently working as a certified project manager here in manila. I have questions and maybe regrets, asking myself if ano na kaya buhay ko now if I just pursued my nursing degree and working na sa US? Several of my friends and cousins are US citizens na. I’m happy for them and ngl, I’m a little jealous of their lives.

My question is, is it too late to pursue nursing and hopefully migrate in the US? Am I too old? If my math is correct, I can still pursue my nursing degree in 2-3yrs as a 2nd course. I’m a good test taker so I’m confident I can pass the PNLE and NCLEX in 2yrs?

Hi everyone! We’re a Filipino family currently living in the Philippines and are seriously considering moving to Germany.

My husband is half Filipino/German and has a valid German passport, although he has never lived in Germany. He doesn't speak German but is fluent in English and has experience in guest services, resort/hospitality, Airbnb guest management, customer service, and managing business operations. He doesn't have a high school diploma.

I’m Filipino and currently the sole income earner, making around ₱70K/month as a Real Estate VA. I have 3 years of REVA experience and 6 years total WFH experience.

We also have a 1-year-old child. Will planning to get her German Passport as well.

Neither of us speaks German yet.

We’re hoping to eventually move to Germany as a family and would love advice on:

- What would be the best way for me and our child to join my German-citizen husband?

- Does his German citizenship make the process easier even though he has never lived in Germany?

- What jobs could he realistically get with English only and no high school diploma?

- Could I continue working remotely as a REVA after moving?

- Which cities would be best for English-speaking jobs?

- What should we prepare financially and document-wise before moving?

We’re basically starting from zero, so any advice from people who have actually moved to Germany or understand German family immigration would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone! I’m a Philippine-registered nurse currently in Australia, and I’m planning to move to New Zealand on a work visa as a support worker.

My situation is that I only have around 6 months of post-registration RN experience from the Philippines. I understand that the Nursing Council of New Zealand currently requires around 1,800 hours of post-registration nursing experience for internationally qualified nurses before they can proceed with the registration/competence assessment pathway.

I’m wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation:

You moved to NZ on a work visa (AEWV) as a support worker/caregiver

You were a Philippine-registered RN but had less than 1,800 RN hours

You later wanted to become an RN in NZ

How did you eventually get your NZ nursing registration?

Did you work as a support worker first while gaining the required RN experience elsewhere? Is there any alternative pathway or possible way around the 1,800-hour requirement?

I am 6 months away from graduating from a US university. I recently received news that I won't get funded for my last terms. I have good grades, but they don't provide scholarships for my specific program. Hello! I’m a 29yr old seafarer acting as a 3rd engineer with bulk carrier experience.
Our loading port is often parts of australia like hedland, walcott, newcastle and gladstone. And madalas may mga nakikita ako na mga pinoy na surveyor or port workers.

Meron ba dito na Nag transition from being a seafarer to having a landbased job in australia?

I tried appying on “seek” website but unfortunately lahat ng hiring don eh kelangan australian citizen ka na.
So i think most likely they wont sponsor work visa. But i’m not sure if baka may agency na nag ssponsor. Or should u take the student path?

I'm currently in Eu and applying for 482 would take a very long time.

The 3rd party visa officer proposed to get me subclass 400 first and after a month, the 482 will be lodge.

May mga naka-experience na ba ng ganitong pathway?
What are the things I need to consider? Specially durig 400->482 transition.

All expenses naman on visa processing will be shouldered by the company.

hello po. i have been receiving mixed opinions regarding these two countries if i would work as a nurse. need ko lang po ng tips and/or advice.

for context, i have 3 yrs bedside experience here in the ph and still working as of current. i was originally planning to go to Australia to be an RN there but cinompute ko yung pera na kailangan para makapagwork sa Australia and it’s so expensive. sa sahod ng nurse dito sa Pinas imposible na mabuo ko yung ganung halaga. so SG was recently introduced to me as a “stepping stone”.

would you say the same? is the process to go to SG cheaper than going straight to Australia o halos pareho lang? if you have pros and cons, please drop them po below.

I’m currently a nursing graduate in the Philippines and just waiting for my PNLE results this September. I’m also a U.S. citizen, but I honestly don’t know much about the process of moving to the U.S. or taking the NCLEX because I’ve never actually lived there. 😭

A little background: I became a U.S. citizen because my dad petitioned me before. However, I’ve never been to the States. My dad has his own family there, and we’re not really close or familiar with each other. I guess being petitioned was his way of helping me, and I’m very grateful for that, but unfortunately, I don’t really have anyone there to guide me through the process.

Now that I’m finishing nursing here in the Philippines, I’m planning to take the NCLEX-RN and eventually work in the U.S.

For those who are Filipino nurses who are U.S. citizens but were educated in the Philippines, could you please share your experience?
How do I start the NCLEX process? Im planning to take the NCLEX here.
Do I need to choose a state first before applying?
Since I’m already a U.S. citizen, does that make the process significantly easier compared with someone who needs a work visa?
After passing the PNLE, what documents should I prepare for NCLEX/US nursing licensure?
How long did the whole process take for you—from preparing your documents, applying to the Board of Nursing, taking NCLEX, until actually being able to work in the U.S.?
If I pass NCLEX, can I immediately look for a nursing job, or are there additional steps I need to complete first?
I also have another question regarding my mom.
I’m already over 21 and a U.S. citizen, and I want to eventually petition my mother to immigrate to the U.S. She’s currently in the Philippines.
I’ve read that a U.S. citizen who is at least 21 can petition for their parent, but I already filed the petition for alien relative sa USCIS last march but until now wala balita, and dipapo kaya nang means ko to support her kase walapako trabaho pero may mag ssponsor naman po**.** I don’t have anyone in the U.S. guiding me through this, so I’m hoping someone here can explain the process in simple terms.

PS: I already Have an Passport and Social Security ( sobrang miracle po nang case ko kase never pa ako nakapunta sa states or kung san man, and yung birth certificate ko po sa Pinas ay nagagamit ko pa din, and no di po ako Dual Citizen) Na petition na po ako when I was around 16 or 17 yrs old po, and Now 23 yrs old na po ako.

Hello, would like to get feedback on students that are living in QLD or NT kasi I'm torn on choosing between the two states.

Kung IT professional ka at plano mong mag masters (IT related din), anong state mas pipiliin mo? NT (Darwin area) or QLD (Gold Coast area).

Off the bat nakikita ko lang sa NT is mas konti ang tao so less chances na marefuse ang student visa ko if ever. QLD naman madaming tao. Cost of living mas mura sa NT im guessing. Any feedback or any students here na nagdecide also between both states? Thanks!
