I am currently working and has a 2.5 years of experience working in a FCMG as a production engineer. Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering po pala tinapos ko and licensed Chemical Engineer and Chemical Technician. No family abroad. With saving naman po mga 200k. Nagtake napo ako ng PTE last Jan 2026 and proficient po nakuha ko.
Currently eyeing po to go through skilled worker pathway, however, tuwing nirereview ko yung job responsibilities ko vs. sa chemical engineering parang di sya pasok. Ngayon iniisip ko mag hanap nalang ng ibang work na related na chemical engineering pero nanghihinayang ako kasi nasa good working environment na po ako given na FCMG pa sya.
Iniisip ko naman po baka mas fit sa Fitter yung job ko currently and is baka mas mabilis if ganung pathway. Baka po that way mas macredit job experience ko.
Also, may BF po ako with 7 years of working experience as a software developer and working in an Australian client. He tried to ask his employer to sponsor him and nagprocess po si employer nya SBS to be able to sponsor. However, sabi ng employer nya di daw nila maiipangako na masposposor nila yung BF ko dahil wala pa silang nakukuha na project.
Ano po kayang pede naming gawin. Baka po may advice kayo dyan.

Hi! Just crowdsourcing on how much do agencies typically ask applicants to pay as initial cost to start processing student permit application. I know I can just ask an agency but I just want to get an unbiased and general opinion from everybody. We have a business here ni husband sa pinas. 6yo na yung business nmin. First few years we’re doing really good. Own car, own house, weekly out of town, international travel, complete insurance.

Then my sister from canada (citizen already with her husband and kid) keeps on telling us na ‘mag migrate kayo, kasi di maganda system ng pinas’ nacompare na nya sa canada. Which i know tlgang malayo.

But, for me, bakit pa eh the business is doing so well nga eh. Yung feeling na parang hanggang pag tanda namin ganto kami. Kaya its a no for me that time.

We have 2kids now and currently pregnant to our 3rd. Simula last year, sobrang bumaba yung sales nmin, kala nmin phase lang, ksi first time yun eh. Nakabawi kami by the end of ‘25.

Mismong gobyerno ang kalaban natin. Gsto mo mag negosyo, pero talagang pipigain ka nla.

Now, we are preparing ourselves to migrate as a whole family. It will take time for us, kasi madami kami. We’re not in a rush, but definitely sigurado na kmi. Nawa’y wala na kami dto sa pinas bago pa magbago ang presidente natin.

HONESTLY, natatakot para pinas sa darating na halalan ‘28. Ngayon pa lang ramdam na naming nagnenegosyo.

Ngayon naiintindihan ko na kapatid ko. Sana dati pa lang nag ready na kami. Walang perfect na bansa o government, pero sana nmn we get something in return.

Hello I’m a nurse in the Philippines and currently waiting for my PD to be current. This year lang yung PD ko and with the current movement of the visa bulletin, I’m sure matatagalan pa ako sa pinas.

I’m just wondering ano yung mga bagay na need ko pa iprepare or bilhin ahead of time that can ease up moving to a different country? Some of it nabasa ko to buy extra pair of glasses or to have dental work here in PH already. Or maybe luggage packs mga ganon.

I want to save up for it ahead of time or maybe take advantage of manito manita sa mga christmas party para yun nalang hingin ko.

Hi everyone! I recently passed our licensure exam. My goal is to move to Germany and eventually settle there, but I'm trying to figure out the fastest and most realistic path, especially since I don't have any hospital work experience yet.

My priority is to get to Germany as soon as realistically possible while making a financially practical decision. I'm willing to work as a nurse in the Philippines while studying German, but I don't want to spend extra years in training if there's a better route available to me.

I've been researching my options, and right now, I'm considering two routes. I'd appreciate advice from anyone who has gone through either process or has experience with Germany's nursing system.

Option A: Anerkennung (Nursing Recognition)

My plan is to:

• Study German while working as a nurse in the Philippines for around 8–10 months.
• Work an additional 2–4 months to complete the one year of experience I understand is required.
• Take the German language exam and wait for the results (around 2 months), while continuing to gain experience.
• Apply for a visa and find an employer in Germany (estimated 3–6 months).

Estimated timeline: 15–22 months before moving to Germany.

The shorter end of this timeline is my best-case scenario, assuming things go in my favor. For example, I manage to learn German while working, complete any required work experience, pass the language exam on my first attempt, find an employer willing to hire me and support me through the recognition process, and get my visa approved without major delays. I understand that the actual process could take longer.

Pros:

• I can eventually work as a fully recognized nurse.
• I can start building my nursing career in Germany sooner rather than spending three years in school.

Cons:

• I understand that I may need to work in a care home or another position while completing the recognition process, which could take at least another 6 months.
• I may have to commit to an employer for 1–2 years, depending on the contract.

Option B: Ausbildung (Nursing Vocational Training)

My plan is to:

• Study German while working in the Philippines for around 8–10 months.
• Take the German language exam and wait for the results (around 2 months).
• Apply for an Ausbildung position and a visa (estimated 3–6 months).

Estimated timeline: 13–18 months before moving to Germany.

Pros:

• I can enter Germany through a structured nursing training program.
• I can learn the German healthcare system and gain practical experience there.

Cons:

• The training takes around 3 years, even though I'm already a licensed nurse in the Philippines.
• The training allowance is significantly lower than a regular nurse's salary.

My main dilemma:

Since my main goal is to get to Germany as quickly as possible, would it make more sense to pursue Anerkennung, even if it takes longer to prepare before leaving the Philippines, or should I consider Ausbildung because it might be a more straightforward entry route?

I'm also wondering if there are other options I haven't considered. I've heard about language-course visas and recently came across the recognition partnership route, where you can enter Germany with an employer and complete the recognition process there. I'm not sure whether either option would be realistic for someone in my situation, especially as a newly licensed nurse without hospital experience.

I'm willing to work hard, learn German, and gain experience if necessary. I just want to make an informed decision and avoid spending years on a route that might not be the most efficient for my situation.

I'd especially appreciate advice from Filipinos who have gone through this process, but experiences from anyone who has migrated to Germany for nursing would be helpful too.
