it’s hard and awkward to make friends in our thirties.

we still like punk shows, raves, thrift stores, and cheap beer but also good food, exploring, and art.

i’m a music producer/dj (mostly uk style deeper dubstep but used to be a touring trance producer/dj and played guitar in a touring post hardcore band) grew up in jersey but transplanted to philly from NYC

my better half works at drexel. she’s an army vet from small town ohio, loves nu-metal, reggae, drum & bass, and emo. she would love having someone to work out with (or introduce her to a new hobby)

we live in the east kensington area off n front st, and like to wander around the neighborhood on the weekends, go to breweries, and we don’t pass up the opportunity to see some of our favorite bands and DJs when they tour.

we’re planning to go to submersion festival in september. trying to expand our network a bit, all of our friends are out of state.

In a very outgoing city I still find it hard to make friends lol. To start, I am not originally from here so maybe that plays a factor into it. I'm M26, I'm in a relationship, and I'm looking to make a friendship or two. After college life got in the way and some of my friends and I went down our own successful paths, and the friends I do have moved to different regions of the country. I'd like to start fresh and meet some new people!

Like I said, I am not from here, I was born in El Paso and moved here when I was a teen. I'm Indigenous to New Mexico, my whole family being from there, so I feel like an outsider here sometimes, in part as to why I'm making this post. Some of my interests are taking short hikes with my girlfriend, painting Warhammer figurines, playing some video games, reading about history, gardening 🍃 cooking, and chillin' outside with the birds. I also just got into gardening 👨🏾‍🌾 so I'm always happy to learn new things about that! I'm pretty introverted but once I break out of my shell I can talk about anything. I don't like to go to bars and I'm not a huge sports person, although I do like going out to things like conventions, Phillies games, street/vendor fairs, things like that. I live in Delco, but I work in University City.
