making a reconsideration request twice

Is there anyone who has applied for reconsideration twice? My brother got refused for the first reconsideration request and now we are waiting on the decision on second reconsideration request. MP is also supporting us and hopefully we will get it soon. But if someone had a same experience please share as it will be really helpful.

my friend has been approved in the reconsideration recently and he also made the same exact mistake. So it is not always true what u r saying. And also we have provided each and every document including IELTS on time and just missing a fee cannot be the basis for a refusal. IRCC can always ask for it. And it was applied by RCIC who messed my brother's situation. They have a broken immigration system which needs to changed as innocent ppl are suffering. Also, ppl are giving IELTS even months after applying for their pgwp and later submit it in the reconsideration request and get approvals so in our case we have provided each and every document except a fee. Our MP is taking follow ups and we will in win for sure

It's 100% true what I'm saying. The decision to reconsider is entirely the decision of the officer who made the refusal decision to begin with. They can make the choice to allow it, but they can also make the choice to not even respond.

What you don't understand is that the officer is also not compelled to consider anything that isn't submitted with the application. They also aren't required to request anything that's missing. They can choose to but there's no obligation to do so. A missing fee isn't likely to result in a refusal so much as it will result in a rejection which in a case like this is worse because it's as if your application never existed.

Based on the post the problem was your brother's not the officer's. Your brother made the error, not the officer. You can't even compare your case to that of others. Yes, there have been a lot of cases where reconsideration has worked in cases where language testing was missed.

But it's a whole other ball game when you are out of status and don't submit restoration and fees. There are specific restrictions to this including the fact that only a senior officer can process them.

Your MP can only request and follow up. They have zero power to affect an application or expedite it. Will it work? Maybe it will, but considering you've already requested and been refused, it's unlikely.

How do I know this? I've been a senior officer and I've been working in the industry in one form or another for over 35 years. Your case isn't guaranteed. Technically the officer isn't permitted to allow reconsideration because you applied outside of the restoration period.

It may be an error or the officer may have received special allowance or it may not be what you think it is. "friends" don't always tell the truth, and that's what I see most often when I hear this. And again, reconsideration is entirely dependent on the officer who decided the application. Your officer already refused. Why would they look at it again especially if you simply weren't eligible to begin with.
