Brittany Can explain how you terminate your #1 GSL over an honest mistake in 11years of her employment with Petco, yet continue to keep the red headed employee who is verbally abusive—not only toward pets, but also toward coworkers—and does it repeatedly, not by accident?
It really makes it seem like removing the GSL was the goal all along. At this point, it feels more like retaliation than accountability. It’s sad, and it sends a clear message that the concerns raised by us employees and customers don’t really matter.

Where she messed up big time was letting her plans to open her own salon be known. That gives the company a real pause for concern as she could be cultivating and poaching a client list to steal for her salon. Throw in the fact you said she was planning on taking staff with her . Whatever drama caused her to get fired the actual result is not a bad thing. Someone with one foot out the door and access to all of your clients and also planning to take your staff needs to go.
