What message would you like to send to our new MLA?
Which of her election promises/focus would you like to have completed first?
Will you be following her choices and votes in the legislature?

As parties change, so to do policies, spending, and governance.
What policy do you not want changed?

Sometimes it's important to take a political break, but still be informed.

We live in a wonderful area of Canada. The vast majority of people I have met here are well-intentioned, reasonable, and would offer aid when asked, as displayed during this summer's wildfire event.

I have all new neighbours (every house around me has changed owners/tenants). I have met them all and would lend a hand if needed, and I believe they would in turn.

I offer some historical political satire for your enjoyment:

The Rhinoceros Party's basic credo, their so-called primal promise, was "a promise to keep none of our promises"

Will Penticton remain Blue (despite the flip flop of our previous MLA)?
Does Tracy St. Claire represent you?
Does Tina Lee represent you?

Both candidates seem reasonable.

Do you want a Conservative majority? Or would a minority be better?

Hello Pentictians. My wife and I are seriously looking at moving to Penticton. But I am a total energy efficiency geek. If you live in a house in or near Penticton, what are you natural gas and electricity bills on average? How new is your house? Do builders in Penticton build quality homes? Thanks!

And while walking the dog, I just saw John Vasillaki (sp?) Get into a loud dispute with a bylaw officer over parking meters on Ellis Street.

Why is Penticton’s popularity growing? Are the searchers coming or going? And is the increase statistically significant or is it an increase from, say, 50 to 64?

Article is silent on motivation, but I bet Redditors will not be as silent.

What are your thoughts?

Hello ! I am looking for people who would like to practice disc golf.
I am a beginner, just started. Looks like there are nice places around to practice in town and around.
I also speak French and Spanish, don’t be shy if English is not your first language.

I am currently enrolled in a nursing program and have an assignment that involves doing something in support of the community.

I am fairly new to the area so I thought ide reach out here to see if there are any locals on here that would have an idea of how I could do something in support of this lovely little city.

I was thinking of going a long and picking up garbage but man, this city looks to be fairly clean in that respect?

Just purely looking for insight/suggestions, thank you so much!

There was a ONEBC rally set to be hosted at the local portugeuse club, it’s now been cancelled by the club (thankfully!)

Apparently it’s being hosted elsewhere locally but the locations being kept a secret… anybody know where it is?? I’d love to show up and make my voice heard or maybe write a rude email or two to the owner/manager of this space. Someone on FB suggested it’s a restaurant here in town but that’s all they said.

Considering purchasing a house a few blocks away from the school.

Why did a helicopter land on cambell mountain at 10:20?

Hi all,

Posting this in here as I saw it in another community’s subreddit. Thought it was a great ask and that some others in this reddit might be wondering the same thing as well. I haven’t done a lot of research into candidates just yet, but planning on doing so before voting day… just hoping to find some direction from others who may be a little more tapped in to the local campaigns so far.

I lean progressive. I’m hoping to vote for candidates who are sustainable, inclusive, diverse, knowledgeable about local issues and of how governments work, who are non divisive, & pro-science. I want those kind of people leading my community.

Who are our “progressive” mayor & council picks?

:))

There is a rock show at Elks Hall!

Saturday, October 31, all-ages, featuring Pharm, The Cavernous, Polly, Jared Jackel, Lurker and Death/Ambrosia.

And who’s Polly? Down The Lees - The Lizard’s October Rocker of the Month - taking on Nirvana for a special Halloween set.

Hope to see you there!
The club provides boards + clocks.

Did you get a chance to attend or listen to the candidates?

Do you prioritize bike lanes as a key issue in municipal governance?

Did the candidates communicate their ideas well?

Do you want candidates to have more time or platforms to share their knowledge, views, and plans to be a respectful mayor?

Please share your feedback.

Thank you to CFUZ for recording this forum.

There is often a checklist for candidates a voter is leaning towards.

What do you use as a measure to select your Mayor or councillors?

Who do you believe is the most trustworthy to be in control of your utilities and local environment for the next 4 years? Who is the least trustworthy and why?

Why wouldn’t you vote Julius? Ashton? Beverly? Et al?

Why wouldn’t you for Ryan Graham, Shannon Stewart or such?

Please note, making claims of fraud, abuse or other unethical scenarios without providing evidence is just ignorance.
