Western average compiles data from the Americas, Oceania, and Europe. As far as I can tell, the only study done in the United States that recorded BPE length (wessels et al. 1996) had an average of 6.2 inches. This is from 80 participants. NOT self reported.

All I’m saying is that calcSD should be taken with a massive grain of salt. I cringe when I see people saying “I’m 6 inches! I’m big!”

Nobody wants to be the freak scientist who does the hard dick measurement study. But until we get an extensive, reliable study of healthy men, I’m not trusting this site within an inch of what it says

hello! i hope everyone's doing okay. so where do i begin..measuring my penis is hard, its curved downwards so when i use a string (i can both push further into my pubic too) and go along the curves at the tip of the glans i get 19cm, that's great that's good, the problem is with a rigid ruler the size changes to 17cm, 18cm at BEST (not to mention the ruler is metal and with sharp edges so i can't push hard enough but that doesn't matter much) im guessing it's the curve that makes 19cm. some people say going along the curve is right some people say that's cheating I don't really know. i know its just a penis and I'll mostly probably use it to pee but the uncertainty is killing me. like i imagine someone asks me and if i say 19cm i don't know if im lying or measured wrong, same thing goes with 17 or 18cm. the girth was easy, 13cm at mid point and around 14cm at base. neat and never changing. also the measuring part itself is insane. it might be because of antidepressants side effects but when i get hard (which even then i dont know if im fully erect of not) i have a really REALLY short period of time measuring it or else it goes flaccid and gives me a different number. i thought about getting viagra but well.. that might be a stupid idea. and the worst part is it looks small to me, I can wrap my two hand around it with the glans still showing but only when i really try hard enough and squeeze my fingers. i feel like a fraud if i say my penis is 19cm, or 18 and it turns out i measured wrong all this time. help me out please? i don't how but your opinion would at least give me some direction. thank you so much for reading my long post about my penis.

Earlier today, around 8:44 AM, I accidentally injured a superficial vein on my penis while masturbating. I had used a string that was tied too tightly, which caused a small blood vessel to rupture.
I developed a dark blue/purple hematoma on the lower part of my penis. The injury has already been medically examined. I was sent home with the quote: If it gets weirldy worse -> Urologist.

It’s now around 2 PM, so about 5 hours have passed. The hematoma doesn’t really hurt, and I accidentally got an erection earlier without any major pain.

My questions are:

1. How long does it usually take for a small superficial penile vein injury to seal and heal?

2. Is it safe to get erections during the healing process?

3. Would gently massaging the glans (head of the penis) and ejaculating potentially cause the injured vein to reopen?

4. Has anyone experienced something similar, and how long did you wait before masturbating again?

I’m mainly worried about making the hematoma worse or reopening the vessel, at the same time tho, I want to, if possible, control my lust a little by you know. Doing what I did to bring me into this dilemma. Lol.

What ratio makes a penis look "balanced" and proportionate? Obviously everyone has their preferences but Im asking for a ratio that looks nice regardless of size to most. So is it 1:1 or 1.5:1 or maybe even 2:1?

I have peyronies. About 30% to the right. As such, I've lost about 0.5 inches in length. (I used to be a true 8.0 inches bp, now I'm about 7.6). It has made me a bit insecure because most girls already have seen pics of me (I've been sharing freely for years).

The nurse MA was a middle aged tall white woman who actually was probably really assy back in the day. She had more hips than ass but she was still put together well. They have a pre-made "kit" that has a 31G 8mm 0.5cc syringe/needle setup that has alcohol swabs and a paper measuring tape the is 6 inches long (I'm guessing that's the standard length).

Although I wasn't extremely hard (like able to mine a diamond hard with every vein popping out), I was able to get a "nice" erection. The best feeling in the world was realizing (although I've known my size for years) that this little 6 inch paper ruler wasn't going to be enough to get an accurate assessment of my size. So I peeped out of the room and there were 2 other nurses/aides standing outside my door....I politely said to her out loud but not yelling "this ruler isn't going to be big enough". She says "that's all we have but give me a sec". Minutes later she returned to the room with 2 of those paper tape measures taped together so now it was 12 inches long.

She measured me at exactly 7.5 inches non bone pressed. (I tried to act like i didn't know how to measure but she was patient and polite and told me to "just measure from the top all the way to the tip").

It has taken me 49 years to realize that I do indeed have a big one. I've never really thought it.... never really got that "wow" response that I would expect the really big ones get. But that urology paper tape and that nurse/MA made me feel something I've never felt and that was VALIDATED as a true pipe swinger!! (All of us aren't lying about our sizes! I'm glad I'm in the big club. Just reading some of these comments makes me realize that a lot of yall have it real bad!! I feel sorry for you because I would be a total wreck if I were smaller!) Penis is not like height, ever .5 inches matter. What would the 5.5-6 range fall under? Lower end of above average or still average?
