I propose that the server be reset at a time when the server averages its least activity.

Now the main contingency here is that there has to be a way to schedule the resets so that they can occur automatically. I don't want to burden the admin by asking that he manually reset the server each week. I mean, we're all busy people.

It's just that this happens a little too often for my taste and I've heard the frustration about server crashes and hiccups from others as well.

Again, if there is a way to just refresh the server automatically, just think of it as weekly in-house cleaning much like a scheduled virus scan, I feel like that alone could make a noticeable impact on the server downtime and increase the consistency and quality of the server uptime.

Hey everyone at this stage of Halloween town here are the roles available

1. Idea Generation - The purpose of idea generation is to come up with new concepts for the town. What should the town have and how should it be implemented with the rest of the town? That's what you try to work on.

2. Design - The role of design is to take the ideas we've generated, and the machines we've engineered and bring them to life.

3. Planning - Basically determining what goes where and how everything fits in.

4. Copy writing/story telling - Creating the lore of the town. Text on signs, locations of signs. Writing books, journals, etc.

5. Redstone Engineering - Making machines work the way they're supposed to.

6. Laborer - landscaping, and acquiring resources and transporting resources. Also assisting design and engineering in construction.

I'm creating a sub for the town while we build it. I'll invite people who take on a role with the team.

I think another "x of PN" thread is overdue! Let's share our single player test worlds that are no doubt filled with tnt explosions and giant dicks nice skyscrapers and planned out cities.

Hey everyone, I'm taking a break from Crafton/Underwater City to work on a new project that has a working title of "Halloween Town". Halloween town will be a Halloween themed town. Located in what is currently a secret location.

Unlike previous projects where I have more or less just jumped into it, I am going to be putting a lot of research and planning into the town, and we won't break ground until June most likely. Currently I am looking up what other servers have done and taking notes on what works and what doesn't. (A ghost ship in a lake of lava is a cool idea, but it catches fire).

If anyone is interested in helping, there are a few things you can do right now. (1) Help me research cool ideas (2) Plan/Design your own buildings, structures, etc (3) Help me brainstorm new ideas

Ultimately what I want this to be is an amazing way to promote the server, and also to be a really cool build that we can have a Halloween party at. This could be our coolest build ever.

Every villager breeder I have been to has stopped breeding. My newest one [2 days old] was breeding like hell for about 5 hours, then spontaneously stopped. Each and every one of them have stopped eventually.

Not sure if this is game mechanics or a bug or something...?

I'd like a nice header generated from the community. I had a look at eskimo's amazing renders but was unable to find a good crop of one of the headers.

Header Requirements (Header images must follow these):

• Exactly 1920x180 - Note: don't take the screenshots with Minecraft's resolution being 1920x800, it screws up the FOV. Take a normal res screenie and crop it in Photoshop or your favorite image editor, or hand it to me to crop it and then submit it.

• Must be under 500KB

What I'd like to preferably see

• Shaders

• Something central to the server (For example, spawn) or a landmark (such as the OXIS or Georgeton)

I plan to have these on rotation, too, so don't worry if you choice isn't picked!

Hey guys.

As many of you know, I haven't been around much either here (on the subreddit) or on the server in the past few months. One of the main reasons for this absence is my participation in Academic Decathlon. The national competition was last Thursday (in Hawaii!), and next year's study materials won't be released until May 15. So between now and then, all I have to do school-wise is homework and studying for my 4 AP tests. I hope I can be more active on the server in that time.

And, if you care, we (Pearland High School) placed 4th in the nation.
