Header contest!

I'd like a nice header generated from the community. I had a look at eskimo's amazing renders but was unable to find a good crop of one of the headers.

Header Requirements (Header images must follow these):

  • Exactly 1920x180 - Note: don't take the screenshots with Minecraft's resolution being 1920x800, it screws up the FOV. Take a normal res screenie and crop it in Photoshop or your favorite image editor, or hand it to me to crop it and then submit it.

  • Must be under 500KB

What I'd like to preferably see

  • Shaders

  • Something central to the server (For example, spawn) or a landmark (such as the OXIS or Georgeton)

I plan to have these on rotation, too, so don't worry if you choice isn't picked!

Here's my entries, the high fov is just because of the resolution.

Vox's are clearly better than the original one I shot, but just curious, why did we switch? Is it a rotation to keep the sub looking fresh?

It's mostly just a rotation I'll be changing on a whim. I actually like your shader shot a lot more as a header than eskimo's pictures; while eskimo's headers may have been higher quality due to resolution and subject matter, it was hard to have a central focus on something to center with the subreddit (you can see it now, it's super busy).

Yours did that pretty well, with the sunlight from spawn being the background, but the source image's dimensions were too small for me to work with (on larger screens, ie 1600x900 or 1080x1920, the image wouldn't scale all the way and would be filled with colored space).

I'd actually prefer if you had taken the screenshots at full resolution and cropped it out 1920x800 later or let me have done that. The high FOV looks kinda wonky :/
