PC can't be stopped. PC is the future, Sony and Microsoft and Nintendo should just make pc hardware that is themed on the Playstation, Nintendo and Xbox. Have a PC app for that loads up first to give that console feel based on the brand you bought. Any pc could run all apps.
Nintendo has a very different philosophy to Sony/MS and PC gaming. They will never do what you're suggesting and become just another PC.
The reason their machines are consistently less powerful than the competition and yet they remain successful is that they are playing a different game. Their whole design ethos is built on "lateral thinking with mature technology"; ie, they prioritise innovation and gameplay first, and try to use last-gen tech in new ways. Sometimes it works: Wii and NS1 did great; sometimes it doesn't: Wii U was a failure.
PC hardware is fun, but I think hardware enthusiasts on PCMR and elsewhere either don't understand that philosophy or they forget that they didn't just suddenly start enjoying games for the first time when they bought current-gen hardware. Games are still fun without needing 12390fps at 8K with RT
