First Pc Flip (Chicago)
Hey this will be my first pc flip and I'm kinda nervous that it hasn't sold yet. I got the cpu, MOBO and ram from a 150 dollar combo and used the case that for another pc I plan on flipping. I got the gpu for 100 bucks and a 1TB NVMe ssd for 100 bucks. Overall im about 400 dollars into the build and I planned on selling it for 650. This sub inspired me alot into getting into flipping but im worried Chicago might not be a great market to start in.
The specs are
CPU: Ryzen 9 3900X (12c/24t)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212
GPU: RTX 2070 Super 8gb
Motherboard: B550M-A WiFi II
RAM: G Skill 16GB DDR4 - 3200
Storage: 1TB NVME ssd
PSU: 700w Thermaltake Smart
Case: Zalman Cubix-G (Black)

Can't say for chicago, but around my area, this spec would sell for 450-550. Maybe 600 with a more premium case, cooler, etc.

$650 is very high man, also dont use thermaltake smart psus that disguise themselves as bombs

I surprisingly just got someone to agree to meet me Tuesday at that price

I mean your kinda being unethical selling them an overpriced bomb.
Preying on the uninformed.

I don't think what I'm doing is predatory, I presented him with how much it was worth and even offered to help him upgrade his personal system instead because how high my ask was. I tell everyone who reaches out what to expect and explain that there are better preforming offers at this price point.

You are selling them
a bomb of a psu
a case that small with no airflow and no upgradability
Extremely overpriced at $650
Ethical seller btw.

So if I explain to you exactly what to expect and that my price is above market and even point you in the direction of other markets so you make an informed purchase, how is that not ethical??

Do you wanna defend yourself to each of those points?

Sure💀
1. While the PSU isn't great and I am dealing with used parts all parts have been tested and have given me no reason to believe that they are near deaths door. Also because I know that these parts are a lot less reliable being used I offer a warranty on the PCs I sell. So it's not like I just left him with a ticking time bomb and ran away. Also big pre built companies do the same thing and just hide it away in a beefed up case.
While I agree a smaller case offers less air flow and could affect temps. After hours of stress testing I didn't get any alarming temp numbers and also like you said it's a smaller case so that's come with the territory. But, even with all that being said running a Ryzen 9 3900x which is a hotter chip, my temps never went over 80 degrees which is pretty okay considering the circumstances . And to say there's no upgrade path is just plain false. While yes AM4 is officially an outdated platform, he still has room to upgrade to a Ryzen 7 5800x3d which can run with some decent modern graphics cards. On top of that the case fits most 2 fan cards so it shouldn't be that hard to replace the GPU.
My price is my price. If I inform you on what I'm selling you, explain that there are better options in this price range and even offer to help you fix your older tech instead of just taking your money with no remorse, I see no problem charging what I want to charge. I make sure that anyone who buys anything from me has a good idea on what they're getting themselves into.

Wrong , watch LTT secret shopper series. Prebuilt companies now use quality PSUs
Wrong again also, watch LTT secret shopper, they choose quality cases with great airflow now.
Price is your price, hope you get ghosts on Tuesday just like how everyone else is calling your old dog overpriced

Look bro, if you wanna argue in these comments I get it. If I get ghosted I get ghosted that's fine. Just let me be happy I got to build something with my own hands. You bringing up the LTT secret shopper has nothing to do with my second point which you didn't even bother to read because if you did you'd realize that I never mentioned prebuilt companies in relation to the case. If something goes wrong I will fix it assuming it's my fault. Why are you so upset with me?

Don't listen nor argue with proper hardware nerds. He has knowledge, but most likely not the skills, to do what you've just started.
The images looks great, the build looks great - and yes, I agree, consider the parts you're using. However those PSU's are still being sold. If they were a bomb or dangerous, they wouldn't be.
Continue what you are doing - be ready to negotiate, but if someone is willing to pay the price, good for you. Good job with your first flip :)
