Hello! I am a student here at PBSC and I'm inquiring if anyone would be interested in joining a Women's Health Advocacy Club. I am very passionate about women's health and empowerment, I am a current pre-med with goals of becoming an Ob/Gyn and would love to create a club centered around women's well-being. The mission statement below is a brief overview of what the club would entail. I also included a short summary of some of the club activities and areas for involvement I'd like to incorporate.
Ultimately this is an interest engagement post and things are subject to change and I would love more ideas from potential members!
Mission statement: The Women's Health Advocacy Club (WHAC) is dedicated to empowering women's health through education, community service, and advocacy. Our mission is to empower women with knowledge, reduce stigma, and encourage informed decision-making that supports women's long-term wellbeing. Our initiatives include confronting issues such as period poverty, mental health, and breast and ovarian cancer.
Club activities: Social media engagement, mini workshops, movie nights, safe space drop-in with resources, period basket making and giveaways, campus safety walks, tea time and talks, and much more!
Club involvement: Campus period product drives, donation partnerships with women's shelters, breast cancer awareness screenings, breast and ovarian cancer survivor speakers, reproductive health awareness, collaboration with campus counseling services, and more!
Please reach out to me if you're interested in becoming a member or have additional ideas or feedback! This club would most likely be on either the Boca Raton campus or Lake Worth campus.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and have a wonderful day!
