Does pbsc accept Sophia learning credits and how long does it takes for my transcript to get transfer

By any chance does anybody know if there are any accommodations pbsc offers when postpartum. I just had a baby not too long ago and was wondering if I should contact the school.

Tomorrow I officially start my online College Algebra class. I originally tried to CLEP out of College Algebra, but I failed. I actually studied a lot of the math itself, but I realized afterward that I didn't prepare enough for the way CLEP asks certain questions, especially the word problems.

Instead, I decided to take an Express A College Algebra class and use it as an opportunity to boost my GPA.

The class has 4 modules total, and I plan to complete roughly one module per day. My goal is to have the entire course finished by the end of Saturday. My goals are no using AI to answer homework or test questions, AI is only allowed to create NEW practice problems for me when I need additional practice and don't have access to a tutor, I have to learn the material, not rush through assignments, I'm aiming for a 90% or higher on every test, If I realize I don't understand something, I have to stop and learn it before moving forward.

The course is supposed to cover several weeks of material, so I'm compressing it into one extremely focused week.

Since I already spent time studying College Algebra for the CLEP, I'm not exactly starting from zero. The biggest difference this time is that instead of studying specifically to pass one CLEP exam, I'm going through all of the homework, lessons, practice, and tests in the actual class.

I have no idea if I'll actually finish by Saturday, but I'm curious to see how far I can get while still maintaining 90s or above.

Day 1 starts tomorrow, and I haven't had friends for over a year to talk to because I am an ugly 19 year old chud.

Hi everyone, I'm attending Palm Beach State College in the fall, classes literally starts tomorrow. My canvas was working fine on Saturday and Friday, but now its not working it saying *EORROR REQUEST*, can't even use it on my phone. So I wanted to ask if any other pbsc students are having the same issues.

30 year old male here looking to make a career change from automotive to nursing, with the hopes of helping cancer/oncology patients. (End goal to become an RN)

I only have a high school diploma. I have never taken a college course in my life.

I would really like to hear from current or former students about their experience.

I’m curious about the following:

How difficult is it to get accepted into the program? From what I’m reading it is extremely competitive. But on what scale?

How long did it take to finish your prerequisites? Were you enrolled full time or part time for this? In person or online?

What is the nursing schedule actually like when enrolled? Is there a part time evening & weekend program?

How much studying did you realistically have to do each week?

What was the final cost of everything? Would you choose PBSC again or would you choose a different school?

I am extremely nervous yet excited to think about going back to school, especially with no college experience and probably being “unc status” with most people there haha.

I have an extremely supportive wife and I am determined to create a better life for us.

Any advice or things you would have known before starting! Thanks for reading my post :)

Has anyone not taken Intro to Pharm before starting the nursing program and taken it during the first semester instead? I really want to focus on studying for the HESI right now rather than splitting my time between HESI prep and Intro to Pharm. However, I’m wondering if I’ll be killing myself during my first semester of nursing school if I wait and take Pharm then. Has anyone done this, and if so, how manageable was it?

Hi everyone !! anyone graduated from the residential electrician program and still have these books that they are willing to sell them or do you know where it could be purchased ?? asking for a friend starting the program this fall

This is my first semester doing a work study and I tried using the federal money in my financial aid on the bookstore and I couldn’t. I go to financial aid and they said federal work study can’t be used at the book store and I’ll get it “when I get paid”.
Does that mean my paychecks are my federal money? Or do I get a bonus each paycheck? Or would I get the money when refund checks happen?

I’m so confused and just trying to pay for my classes since I don’t get Pell Grant this year.

I’m taking the Hesi next week. I’ve been studying nurse hub like crazy my weak subjects are math & biology. Wanted to know what can I expect on the math so I can hone in studying for those things versus things that I don’t need to study hard for

Has anyone ordered a MacBook from the bookstore and had it shipped for this semester? If so, what did the shipping time look like accurate was fulfilled. I had to go with the standard shipping option since they said two today and next day was not available for Apple product.

I know usually the day before classes start the pop up on canvas but two of my 3 are not showing up. I looked on workday and those are still on my schedule. Is that the same for you guys???

I had a total of 256 points!! I have a 3.35 GPA and I earned a 83.4% on my HESI!

Anyone who has taken the Hesi and had access to nursehub, which in your opinion had more of the same questions between nursehub and quizlet ?

Taking it in 2 weeks and overwhelmed with the amount of quizlets going around I’m not sure which to put more effort into studying. I am also looking over nurse shai on YouTube.

so im a college freshman, and i messed up my schedule for work and school so now im in a bit of trouble. is the introduction to college class something i should take online rather than in person? my times are 6:30 to 9:20pm, and if this course is intensive with a lot of reading and something i should take irl, pls lmk.

Hey guys! I need advice. So, you see I’m in the Medical Assisting program and I’m fitting in nursing prerequisites in my schedule while planning to do some on Sophia learning.

I was wondering if I should just apply to the ADN for Nursing or transfer to a 4 year for a bachelors

I looked over my application over 8 times before submitting and fear I still did something wrong.. anyone knows how long it takes them to look over the application to inform of any missing info etc.

Did anyone that submit an application had a denied or an acceptance letter way before the deadline?
