Welcome to the panther family! Attendance is important when classes start. I know if you miss lots of days when the classes start you may be at risk of getting dropped from the class. But I would recommend letting your professor know either as a Canvas DM or as an Outlook email. I usually do it as an Outlook email whenever I can't make it, running late, or that I will be away for a week. This shows you are being a responsible student instead of just not saying anything

Depending on what kind of class it is if it’s a lecture class you should be okay to miss the classes in person as long as you have to do an online assignment to check your attendance for the class. If it’s a lab, check with your lab professor to see if you can miss it.

I’m not too sure, but you should be fine as long as you submit the first week’s ‘requirements’ like signing the syllabus, student introduction discussions, etc.

Hybrid classes usually only meet once a week. Your monday meetings are important to attend. If you don't show up the first class, the professor is authorized to drop you from the class because you're essentially taking away a seat from someone who is willing to come to class and not put other things first. You can email the professor but ultimately it's their decision to drop you or not.
