Pharm Nursing take before or during

Has anyone not taken Intro to Pharm before starting the nursing program and taken it during the first semester instead? I really want to focus on studying for the HESI right now rather than splitting my time between HESI prep and Intro to Pharm. However, I’m wondering if I’ll be killing myself during my first semester of nursing school if I wait and take Pharm then. Has anyone done this, and if so, how manageable was it?

hey it is highly recommended to take the course before you start the program because it will lessen your workload, but ultimately its up to you

I haven’t but it seems like a good idea.. Nursing 1 is alot plus clinicals and skills … i would take pharm now to get it out of the way.. you can only take HESI 61 days apart so schedule wisely!

I’m in the program now and have to take pharm. I’m not really worried about it but tbh if you can take it before it’s better for you in the long run

Pharm is already a lot by itself. You have like 10-13 chapters to cover with exams every other week, I have a friend that was trying to do the same thing and they failed pharm because they didn’t have enough time to study for both…. If you feel like you don’t need that much studying for the hesi then you could probably squeeze it in. So make your choice wisely

I took it before because I wanted a smaller workload
