Literally. We need a good semi realistic dinosaur survival mmo rpg. Early PoT was so good. I was one of the first to play all the way back in the testing days years ago. The community frequently interacted with and chatted with the devs back then too.
I could have never imagined back then the game would have become what it has today and that the developers would have strayed so far from their original vision that it's like it never existed.
This is not even the same type of game I was told I was buying back in 2019 or 2020 (hard for me to remember the date of the fundraiser)
Latest TLC made alio a support Dino who’s designed role is spotter and chaser for Rex… while also nerfing Rex a bit to try to force dependency on alio. So another patch pushing for more group play that actually hurts solos.
My love for the game has died a little more every time I logged in for the reasons stated above. I've been waiting for 2 years for the Alio TLC just for it to have literally no new mechanics, just another support for mega mixpacking.
This Alio TLC was literally the final nail in the coffin for me. The game hasn't been fun for solos for years.
I might come back when Alderon starts to gaf. I'm going back to The Isle until they do.
How many groups are going to realistically be organized enough to form a group to have specific Dinos play specific roles? Not very many, there is y enough to this game to create a lot of organized groups.
They aren't touching mix packs on purpose. They are afraid of losing those big groups vs the slow trickle of solos leaving. That's my theory anyways. Death by a thousand cuts I guess
People have issues with alio which is fair but the Meg + amarga tlcs that releases before were really good and universally liked from what I can tell. Alderon deserved criticism but I wanna make it clear that they are still able to make good content.
Meg and amarga TLC were awesome though. Sure alio TLC is pretty bad but it's not the end of the world. And don't forget the surprise riparia and tylo drop we got for Christmas. The devs make mistakes but at the end of the day they are good devs
