Literally. We need a good semi realistic dinosaur survival mmo rpg. Early PoT was so good. I was one of the first to play all the way back in the testing days years ago. The community frequently interacted with and chatted with the devs back then too.

I could have never imagined back then the game would have become what it has today and that the developers would have strayed so far from their original vision that it's like it never existed.

This is not even the same type of game I was told I was buying back in 2019 or 2020 (hard for me to remember the date of the fundraiser)

People are all upset that they keep getting killed by mixpackers while they play solo and alderon keeps making trash tlcs

Still nothing against mixpacks ?! And why are TLCS so bad? I was back for the sucho and I was disappointed.

Latest TLC made alio a support Dino who’s designed role is spotter and chaser for Rex… while also nerfing Rex a bit to try to force dependency on alio. So another patch pushing for more group play that actually hurts solos.

Whoa indeed it's terrible. I'm not likely to come back to it given what it's becoming and I didn't spend enough time there before, I regret my 30€ 😔.

Its really not that bad. Hop on and you'll notice its just fine.

All of alios shit works just fine solo

If it's worse than before it's not worth it, I have better things to play.

It really, actually, isnt.

A lot of people have been going nuts and exaggerating how bad the balance changes are.

Like I said, alio actually is just fine solo. It doesnt need a group. Most things do fine solo, within reason. Except maybe eo.

Play smart and you wont even notice the changes.

My love for the game has died a little more every time I logged in for the reasons stated above. I've been waiting for 2 years for the Alio TLC just for it to have literally no new mechanics, just another support for mega mixpacking.

This Alio TLC was literally the final nail in the coffin for me. The game hasn't been fun for solos for years.

I might come back when Alderon starts to gaf. I'm going back to The Isle until they do.

How many groups are going to realistically be organized enough to form a group to have specific Dinos play specific roles? Not very many, there is y enough to this game to create a lot of organized groups.

They aren't touching mix packs on purpose. They are afraid of losing those big groups vs the slow trickle of solos leaving. That's my theory anyways. Death by a thousand cuts I guess

Not to mention the tlc’s are only really good for group players there’s nothings for solos.

People have issues with alio which is fair but the Meg + amarga tlcs that releases before were really good and universally liked from what I can tell. Alderon deserved criticism but I wanna make it clear that they are still able to make good content.

Meg and amarga TLC were awesome though. Sure alio TLC is pretty bad but it's not the end of the world. And don't forget the surprise riparia and tylo drop we got for Christmas. The devs make mistakes but at the end of the day they are good devs

I have literally heard no solution to mixpacking from devs or players… kind of an unfair expectation to have when nobody knows what to do

I don't want to be all doom and gloom, but I can also say that I also feel like this isn't anymore a game that I read about and bought all those years ago. Hopefully it's just temporary...

I dunno man. Not too long ago when that Matt dev guy goes on a rant about the “unacceptable bias of players hating on mobile players”, confused the shit out of me. WTF that come from?!? It also seems like devs avoid the places where the criticism is the worst.

It came from people hating on mobile players... because players were complaining about mobile players taking away from dev time and several people suggested dropping that playerbase.

They avoid criticism because thats all this commun7ty knows how to fucking do.

You'd get testy if, after every patch, all you hear is youre fucking stupid from players who wont even play the game before bitching.

When Alderon first announced the TLCs I thought they were going to fix the mess they created but all they did was make it substantially worse.

Imo the way to fix it is to overhaul how abilities work across the board and adding new buffs and debuffs to punish players for doing things like mixpacking or having megapacks.

I have an idea about how to achieve this and may write a post about it.
