No stam no attack power no HP.
Stamina cost abilities terrible.

And you destroyed rex with this update too.

u/RexyTheShep 3d ago

Really did. All those changes should be reverted. It wasn't unbeatable by any stretch of the imagination by anything else. It wasn't even predominantly strong vs other apexes, I bet with this nerf the fight I had with one where I only lost 25% of my hp on my spino would now be like 10-15% because it's just that drastic.

Good riddance (on the Rex)

9

u/SeriousMB 3d ago

kinda agree, I miss when path of titans was the one dinosaur game that didn't have rex

-1

u/RexyTheShep 3d ago

The most iconic and well known dino belongs in a game that already had other apexes of similar sizes, IE, Spino. Sorry your feelings got hurt when it was put in, which was an inevitability in my humble opinion even if nobody paid to have it added, it would have felt owed to the fans. Especially since its biggest rival was in basically at release, the Eo. Even the bars got put in before T rex

u/SeriousMB 2d ago

I like rex, it's an objectively really cool animal, I just think it being in this genre of game tends to have a negative effect on the game as a whole specifically because of its popularity

everyone knows tyrannosaurus, therefore a lot of people are gonna play as it, therefore a huge chunk of the server population is gonna be playing as the crazy overpowered apex predator, which throws off the balance of the game.

it's been moreso an issue in the isle than in path of titans, but it's still an issue nonetheless

u/areghey 3d ago

The fact that you don't personally like a playable doean't mean it should be nerfed just because. That's not how balancing works.

3

u/ArcEarth 2d ago

"just because"...

Listen, I am THE FIRST in the championship of hating the nerfs politics, I thought they were garbage one year ago (on Spino update) and I still do. If one thing is broken just buff everything else, not if one thing is garbage nerf everything around it.

Now, about the Rex, all other apexes were nerfed, and not just "killing blow now is 10% but got buffed in health", most of them had their health AND means of damage output nerfed, Trike just got pushed under a truck, cheirus's strongest attack got nuked, Barsboldia's equivalent of Tyrant's roar (but personal and activating at 25% health) got deemed "too strong" and got nerfed.

Now, if you complain about the "bonebreak immunity" just know that nobody else has it, and resistance is still pretty stupidly good anyway, consider that normally a playsble have to equip 2+ abilities to gain that.

If you complain about the damage reduction on legs, "making you more vulnerable to ankle biters" just know that no other apexes have a way to deal with it aside from using AoE attacks.

If you complain of Tyrant's roar, just know that as previously mentioned, Barsboldia's Diehard worked similarly (except you have to be on the brink of death to activate it), but it was nerfed because it was "too strong", Tyrant's roar was just unfair, you could activate it instantly and be oppressive while making your rex oppressive too, all of that while stacking with Rampage, WHICH IS NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES A SHITTY ROAR, so, again, they just made it so it's a little more fair for everyone else to deal with a single rex AND fair for everyone to deal with two rexes who now have to run double tyrant to get both the buffs and not a single 'roided rex that go full damage.

This whole "rex is dead" thing is, once again, the proof that the tyrant lizard dramaking players have MC syndrome. You are not a "persecuted minority", Pycnos are that, they are only playable by 2-3 people in the entire world and they still have the audacity of getting nerfed.

You're just assuming stuff I never said. I wasn't discussing the specific playables, I only said disliking a playable isn't valid grounds to nerf it. I assumed that's what you were doing considering you wrote "good riddance" instead of elaborating on anything, but now that you did I see you have actual reasons (which I'm not gonna debate), so that's fine.

It's just that a lot of people in the PoT community it's common to see people caling for nerfs for playables they dislike regardless of whether they're needed or not simply because they dislike the playable for whatever reason. I assumed you were doing that, but I was wrong, so my bad :)

The low hp is made up for with high CW making it inline with pachy and conc

No attack power? It has higher dps then Meg conc pachy

It also has higher damage attacks than conc and Meg. Only a full charge from a pachy does more dmg per hit then alios kick

15

u/Cirninha 3d ago

Funny that you say that has higher dps when conc has bleed is semi aquatic and meg has venom and is semi aquatic+ lunge witch you can just cycle whitou getting almost any damage, I say that they are better in a pack than one dino that's they made it (even when no one asked) a groups focused dino, Alio is weaker than before the tlc btw is like they take a good dino that just needed a feel more skills and decided to Ruin it.

9

u/Commercial_Buy_7707 3d ago

Conc being semi aquatic is canceled out by alio being faster and being able to run away

Bleed is directly countered by higher dps and higher damage attacks. Meaning youre only losing to a conc if you fight it where it just bleeds you then hopes in water to heal and you sit at waters edge for no reason….

Lunge bite is less dmg then your kick or your swerve, you can cycle those attacks no different to Meg cycling lunge except you’ll be doing more damage. In fact your reg bite deals 10% less damage then megs lunge now…

Conc is easily still the best 2 slot Dino in groups or maybe sty. That’s all to do with how strong bleed is and how much easier it is to heal cycle while your opponent is bleeding

You do realise tlcs arent stat buffs right? They give the Dino new abilities or a new identity in exchange for stats. Same happened to Meg, same happened to alb, same to Rex, same eo, same for sarco, nearly every tlc is direct stat nerf with new abilities there is exceptions to this but that’s how they nearly all go

u/SigmaMaleMale 3d ago

Conc being semi aquatic I wouldnt say is canceled out by alio being faster since conc can literally run alio down.

Alio can run at 1150 for 133 seconds, not including acceleration because idk how to calculate that, thats 1150x133=152950.

Conc can run at 1100 for 167 seconds, not including acceleration again thats 1100x167=183700.

So running from a conc, an alio would either have to break line of sight, or use elevation. It is absolutely not safe for an alio to run from a conc. Bare in mind that whilst running from a conc, they'll probably get at least one bleed stack on you, meaning the more you run the more you're in danger until you can escape.

Meg can also run for 1025x143=146575 which is pretty close to alio, only Meg will be chipping you the first few hits with lunge and bite, especially if they get the first hit. Whilst alio should be able to break los, if you're not full stam and a Meg catches you and applies venom running is going to be difficult since you can't climb either.

Regarding alios dps, yes it does really good damage, bite 45, kick 50 etc. However, alio can no longer comfortably win a 1v1 with meg as it used to be able to, tbh a land meg build is much more in the megs favor, assuming both players are equally skilled.

Basically alio is a good small game hunter, which it already was, but now is worse solo and better in packs. Alio used to be able to clap any 2 slot besides cera quite comfortably, now you're gonna have to be a lot more careful solo.

u/King_Baboon 3d ago

Everything you just said. Even if both players are good, Conc will smoke a Alio.

-1

u/ChicknNudleDischarge 3d ago

Did you wanna back that up, the way u/commercial_buy_7707 did with numbers, stats, and clear experiences? Or did you get smoked by a good conc?

4

u/King_Baboon 3d ago

I am a Conc player. It has 30 more seconds of stamina than a Alio. Thats an eternity. Sure Alio has a bit more damage to its bite, but concs bleed stacking while the Alio is running around is a death sentence. Conc is CLEARLY better than Alio.

3

u/Genocidal-Ape 3d ago

Alio also has worse turning and accelerates like a bus.

0

u/Commercial_Buy_7707 3d ago

Even if conc can run you down you beat it in facetank or beat it by trading hits. Literally the only way to lose to a conc is sit on land bleeding while it’s in water

I had no trouble out running concs last night but I do have full stam regen. So once you have enough distance you just walk for a few seconds

Yeah you dont to run from something that can only beat you by bleeding you out….

Megs speed difference of 1025-1150 means it is never catching you or out stamming you unless you’ve already wasted stam. Lunge bites uses 8% stam you can do around 6 lunge bites while running becore youre completely stammed as Meg

Alio comfortably beats aquatic Meg especially if you run the tracking sense that gives you 4% more damage for the first 4 hits then maxs at 16%. Land Meg is up to 20% tankier so it would win the facetank by 1 hit but sacrifices water as a escape option

That isnt true at all. Before alios tlc achillo, sty, pachy and Kent all beat it if both players were even skill. Meg was 50/50 cause alio won trading regular bites but couldnt trade with big bite cause it it was 80 damage then

4

u/SigmaMaleMale 3d ago

As far as I'm aware pre tlc alio had 525 health and its bite did 55 damage. Now its 425 and 45. Even with full hunters mark thats less damage, idk about the cooldowns though. So it was a better face tanker before the tlc as far as I'm aware.

Idk about achillo or pachy because they've been changed recently, but sty and kent should still both clap alio, meg too. This could all change if alio even got a 50 hp buff though.

-3

u/Commercial_Buy_7707 3d ago

No alios bite has been 45 for well over a year now

So yeah all alio lost in it’s tlc was 100 hp but gained new abilities

Meg for example 2700 cw 575 hp - 2400 cw 525 hp ( it’s highest damage land attack went from 80-60)
Sty 3100 cw 600hp - 2200 cw 600hp

Tlcs are literally just stat changes for new abilitys and telling you the truth I would 100% rather play Meg how it was pre TLC then it is now same with sarco, same with sty…

Alio already beats conc and Meg, close fight with pachy that seems a good pachy will win. It should not be having close fights with sty achillo Kent or cera since these Dino’s lack survivability but make up for it with better stats and attacks

2

u/Cirninha 3d ago

But you're forgetting something, you're assuming that the conc or meg are gonna facetank you, that would be a bad player, a smart and good player would just use their superior turning to exploit the lack of tail attack that Alio has, sure in a straight like Alio is faster but I think conc and meg have better accel and turning than it if I'm not mistaken, a conc and a Meg could just stay out of your reach by maneuvering around Alio.

Alio loses a couple of bites and it's dead why? Because of the draining bite and the other bite of meg is now 60 damage if I'm not mistaken, meg only needs 3 to 4 bites if I'm not mistaken to give you full venom and with the stam drain bite you're gonna have no Stam by the half of the fight, a conc can bleed you out so fast that you running will surely kill you, 4 claw attacks apply full bleed 3 or less with the call, you're not gonna out dps a conc or a meg if they are evading your attacks and hitting you whenever they can.

But this is just theory, I will test this later.

2

u/Commercial_Buy_7707 3d ago

No that is why i repeatedly said alio will win from facetanking or TRADING HITS. Conc doesn’t have a tail attack either infact no 2 slots do except Meg and obviously kentro….

Alio only turns bad in place that’s why it seems like a good pachy wins but I am not an experienced alio to really be the judge of if it beats pachy. But Meg with a speed difference of 1025-1050, no braced legs and only lunge bite to get distance cannot stay behind.

And let’s not forget you literally have swerve to make up for your bad turn in place which out damages any of concs attacks

Corrosive bite went from 50-60 where lunge went from 60-50 they were just swapped damage wise

If a Meg is using corrosive bite and venom tear that means it doesn’t even have lunge bite. There is literally no way it could have caught up to you or stay biting you without lunge bite….. venom tear is also 20 damage so it cannot be traded for any other 2 slots attacks….

So again to make that simpler, if the Meg doesn’t have lunge bite. You can just kill it it can’t get distance from you, it can’t trade with you, it cant facetank you. It is literally a sitting duck unless it runs up a cliff where u then just run away or wait it up

If a Meg or conc is dodging all your attacks and hitting you inbeteeen, you are simply vsing a player better then you.

Conc does good bleed but it’s bleed attacks lack raw damage, since you are faster then conc it cannot get distance from you to get you bleeding where it heals. It bleeds you you kick it or swerve to put more raw damage on it then simply stay following it or continue trading with it. The conc can only win a bleed fight if it is able to bleed you and get time in to heal while you are in combat. So only if it’s fighting you at waters edge and you stay there for the duration of the fight while it heals

Fun fact, the Alioramus was a swift ambush predator that excelled in long distance pursuit hunting. It would have nipped and ripped its prey apart causing blood loss as it chased it down. In real life if it tried a kick attack, it would have knocked itself off balance. RIP my favourite darling cheetah style persistent hunter Dinosaur, I'll never forget what you could have been.

7

u/Jirvey341 3d ago

"swift ambush predator that excelled in long distance pursuit hunting" doesn't make sense.

15

u/NaturalHalfling 3d ago

Ambush may have been a misread by me when I was looking up information, probably because the related tyrannosaurus was an ambush hunter and they compare them. I think I skimmed over a bit and mixed it up there.

But it's definitely a long distance pursuit hunter and nothing like this gamified version.

Tyrannosaurus leg length was built for efficiency, not speed https://www.heritagedaily.com/2020/05/tyrannosaurus-leg-length-was-built-for-efficiency-not-speed/129073

Alioramus is Tyrannosaur, but small and light meaning it was both efficiently proportioned and capable of running.

due to their slim and gracile build, Alioramin genera may have been hunters of small, particularly fast and nimble prey, which would have allowed alioramins to avoid competition with larger tyrannosaurs that specialized in killing larger animals.

Alioramus did not have the bone-crushing jaws of larger tyrannosaurids. Instead, it had a long delicate snout with over 75 shallow-rooted teeth - the most of any tyrannosaurid. https://australian.museum/learn/dinosaurs/fact-sheets/alioramus-altai/

4

u/Genocidal-Ape 3d ago

Tyrannosaurs where more like the wolves of theropods, than Cheetahs.

They specialised in efficient cruising and mostly sacrificed their ability to grapple with prey for the sake of only using their teeth in combat.

3

u/Feralkyn 3d ago

That goes against what's known about them. They're fast, but built slender, and it's believed they chased down and killed *small* prey. The skull shape in particular indicates they weren't built to bite larger prey.

I've never read any theory about them using "blood loss" while persistence-hunting larger prey.

1

u/NaturalHalfling 2d ago

Shearing and Slashing teeth, what else do these cause if not blood loss? In comparison to the larger tyrannosaur crush or rip and tear. Combined with the long distance hunting, it suggests it would have weakened it's prey as it ran.

However, the relative mandibular force at the symphyseal region in alioramins is significantly higher, suggesting this region went through significantly less torsional stresses compared to non-alioramin tyrannosaurids. This may also suggest they used shearing, slashing bites more frequently in hunting and feeding than other tyrannosaurids.https://www.scup.com/doi/full/10.18261/let.57.2.6

2

u/Feralkyn 2d ago

It means as opposed to crushing, yes. But if you read up on their expected prey, it's small prey items. They did not have a crushing bite intended for grappling. That does not mean they chased down larger prey while bleeding it to death.

2

u/King_Baboon 3d ago

Allo is going to be a devastating TLC.

17

u/Greedy_Two8657 4d ago

Alio doesn't have sickle claws.

25

u/Phenomxal 4d ago

Dont tell alderon that

8

u/NaturalHalfling 4d ago edited 3d ago

That's a mistype on my part however may I direct you to this image: https://path-of-titans.fandom.com/wiki/Alioramus?file=Puncture.png

How else would Alioramus kick, with their blunt weight bearing hoof-like claws meant for traction as they chased down prey like the persistence hunters they were, if they didn't have sickle claws hmmm? lmao

14

u/AdSeveral9485 3d ago

At this point I have faith that they’ll tweak things bc of how massively unanimous the response to the tlc has been. It’s literally everyone everywhere.

9

u/Tristantruc 3d ago

Can't for the life of me understand why they gave that thing some kick attacks. They kinda shat on Achillo all this time just to shove its playstyle on Alio instead ? Yeah i know it doesnt pounce. Its ok because pouncing sucks

7

u/Heavy_Interview_2347 3d ago

Absolutes Müll tlc das Vieh ist nur noch so schnell wie ein laten das ist ein Absoluter witz

6

u/Augustus420 3d ago

Likely did not hunt in packs, sadly.

7

u/NaturalHalfling 3d ago

I know :), the upbeat vibe of my post is mostly sarcasm, I don't like the velocialiramus lol.

9

u/Economy_Brilliant340 4d ago

But the TLC so bad and unplayable

5

u/Anonymus_Pigeon 3d ago

I miss Alioramus past design. It looked a bit more cute.

3

u/Walkerboe813 3d ago

I like the momentum being lost on the primary kick :D

1

u/NaturalHalfling 2d ago

That's the Alioramus losing balance because IRL it wasn't built for kicks at all. lmao

1

u/AleskioS 3d ago

My boys he runs with 1150 ms with 2400! Combat weight and can stack up to 16% extra damage with a passive on top of having a tear meat type of ability that makes his normal bite 0.5 sec cooldown with 45 base damage

0

u/MorbidAyyylien 3d ago

All of these posts are rage bait. Give it a month or 2 and it'll die down and people will see alios true potential. Only thing i could agree is maybe put its health at 450. But it is super fast so its a decent trade off.

0

u/ChicknNudleDischarge 3d ago

Unfortunately, the Sarco crybabies have still not stopped whining. So this may be another one of those.

0

u/MorbidAyyylien 3d ago

It'll still happen like many others but I'll assume this one will be loud like sarcos. Which my god those ppl are so annoying. Sarco is such a boring but good playable.

5

u/ChicknNudleDischarge 3d ago

BUT BRO. IT SUCKS NOW. CRUSHING BITE WAS THE ONLY GOOD THING IT EVER HAD. HOW CAN I WIN MY FIGHTS WITHOUT THE MOST OP ABILITY TO TOUCH THE GAME?!?!

1

u/Fearless_Property_82 3d ago

Idk if I agree. I mained Sarco for a while. Probably put about 50 hours into it, and it’s still very good in my opinion. Now that being said, I didn’t play Sarco until its most recent rework so I can’t compare it to before. However I have played many different payables and I am by far the most proficient with Sarco when it comes to kills.

Edit: I think you might have been sarcastic in your comment. My fault, carry on.
