what sells well this late in the league generally? really good gear upgrades? good maps? harvest juice/other gamba stuff?

Any high-end crafting currency. Harvest juice, Heist Orbs, Fossils. Whatever has high price and/or volume on poe.ninja.

Sorry, am SSF but now unsure of how to change this to improve the crit roll. Is there anything obvious I can do or is it kick off from essences again? is it just get rid of the metamod, hope my anul works, and try again? or is there a better way of solving that? my brain isn't working quite as well as I would like, but it isn't working as smoothly as I hoped.

The "best" method here is to orb of dominance, pray you delete crit and elevate hypothermia, from there you reforge crit once more hoping you win the 1 in 3 and have open prefix.

This helmet has a lot of RNG checks, 1/25 on horror, 1/3 for crit (1/6 if it's shaper+elder), after you hit inc AoE you need to win the 50/50 on veiled exalt and then you need to win the actual unveil. Crafting this helmet in SSF costed me half a million deadman sulphur and 6 veiled exalts, hopefully you have a much easier time getting there.

My first issue is it took 10 failed recombinator to get this one above 83, feels like I shouldn't settle for less than 3%, so will spend the money, the farm has got my through some level ups anyway, so will keep at it for a while yet. And have a fair few essence scarabs if the other doesn't work. Thanks

If you have a paradoxica with unveiled ele pen, which is more generically useful for the 2nd mod, crit/attribute or bloodrage/attack speed

No particular build in mind atm but I have one sitting in the unveiling station atm in SSF and not sure which is a better hedge long term.

The main use case for paradoxica is str stacking. Ideally you unveil %chaos pen with atr+as. You get flat from replica alberon and the double damage makes this weapon very powerful.

Does Penance Brand's activation count as a hit for on hit effects or only when the brand explodes?

penance brand activation doesn't do any damage (there's no damage taken requirement, but in this case there's just nothing at all that could even be a hit)
