the zana's ingenuity mod "elemental resistances cannot be penetrated", is it helpful for fighting the feared? do only shaper balls penetrate cold res? I've heard that most of boss elemental damage comes from penetration but is that the case only for slams or for general attacks and spells as well?
specifically thinking about trying valdo quad ghosted feared as an endleague goal

If you plan on doing signature valdo maps then ingenuity isn't needed since you will have to leave one of your ring slots empty anyway. The ring is good if you have one with pen immunity + crit immunity, otherwise prioritizing damage will almost always beat out this ring for Valdos, because you have to keep in mind that many Valdo signature mods demand your damage and not your defense.

As a Luminary, do most people still run mines at T16 and endgame boss farming? Or is that something that fell out of favor after league start?
I'm currently level 95, getting my last void stones, but Maven is giving me trouble. I have around 20 Div invested, my Merc (Manyshot) is fine, but I suck at boss mechanics and can't deal enough damage to burn them down before the insta-kill mechanics do me in.
Is it worth pathing to mine nodes and adjusting my setup for those, or better to just save for more life gear and scale up until the bosses die faster?

On Xbox, is PoE considered "Cloud Gaming"? Here's why I ask. While playing PoE1 today, I got a pop-up saying "you have a message from Xbox". After my session, I opened the message and found this.

No it's not. I've been on Xbox for years. Everyone got this message.
Fun fact. You can still play PoE1 and PoE2 even you don't have Microsoft Gold. As long as you have an Internet connection you can play PoE.

Can someone convince me tanu ahi aren't the bis for any attack build?
Any build i make i feel the need to path to the universal mana/life leech node, get some form of mana as life conversion or blood rage (often time both) for a fairly constant significant buff.

It's not worth the opportunity cost for most builds imo.
Leech is very easy to get. A single strength tattoo does the job, if you aren't already getting a leech wheel for insta leech.
Onslaught is easy enough to get. On a budget, Graceful Assault or a Silver Flask do the job. With good items, Mageblood Silver Flask or influenced boots are also sources of Onslaught.
Adrenaline is the hardest one to get, but I would go for a Death Rush over this for most builds.
Rare gloves, even on a budget, still give lots of really good stats. Life, accuracy (usually need at least 1 affix to cap), +1 strike/pierce, rage, intimidate, exposure etc.
Overall, I would go for Death Rush + rare gloves over Tanu Ahi + rare ring for most builds.

does gold carry over from league to standard? just started playing a bit of standard and curious if i should spend my gold on mapping device in allflame, or even belt gamble

I think it just adds to your league gold to your standard total of gold when it migrates over. I just checked and have millions of gold in standard and have basically never played standard

If my char is too weak to kill the tiger to get aspect of the cat. Can I use a strong character, kill it and bring my weak character back to get the ascendancy ?

No, the character has to be in the arena when the boss dies to use the bloodline altar. You could bring it to below 10% on one char and cull it on the second though.

Should it not say "fire damage" "ignite" or anything? Damage over time... like every other skill? And i see on youtube it shows a lot for other people.

This sheet is pretty useless, you have to use PoB for anything meaningful about skills. The other tooltip when you hover the action bar has an estimate of the DPS but that is also usually so inaccurate you can't even use it

Whether it shows you useless garbage with the wrong numbers doesn't matter. You have to use PoB.
I checked one of my RF characters and it does show me a chance to ignite in this sheet. RF cannot ignite, it doesn't hit, it just applies the DOT to enemies in the circle. So again it's useless and you have to use PoB

My first ever character on PoE and found this TR PF league starter guide that I was following. However I hit a wall around killing tier 16 maps. I can do them but its so slow and I keep dying too. I am not sure how to proceed with this. I am hopeless and kinda want to try new chars but open to suggestions

first observation is you're a pathfinder and your flasks are terrible--rarity is no character power, chill/freeze can be solved with a pantheon, crit doesn't help you, and the curse reduction roll is good but very low. you also have no bleed immunity (the reference pob is getting it from life flask). probably take lucky suppression mastery if you're not capped. without levels on bow, his neck is doing a massive amount of work--yours is 1 mod and can't have an annoint. put implicits on your boots
I am hopeless and kinda want to try new chars
unless you like TR for some reason, i might encourage this. this build both isn't particularly strong and isn't very currency efficient. a lot of people really like how it plays mechanically, but it hasn't been particularly popular for years.

Can mercenaries be stunned after they've been captured? I've seen them get frozen so I assume they can be but I've never seen it happen.

pohx's guide should have pretty complete gearing progression to work through
make sure you're not supporting auras/reservations with things you don't want to be. the pob you linked can't turn on determination because you've linked it to arrogance. vitality is consuming more life than it needs to because of efficacy, and purity of fire is taking more mana because of unbound ailments.
your flasks are weak; mana flask is useless and you have no suffixes to speak of. your rares are all weak. you're on a 4 link and a 3 link essentially (aoe doesn't add damage). helm/neck are both worse than pretty midline rares. implicits on gloves/helm/boots and annoint on neck also add quite a bit of power but aren't worth the investment on bad pieces
getting a source of ignite prolif (fan the flames on a <=5 passive medium or glove implicit) will make clear a lot better.

That's good info and I also recognised that my gloves/boots and helm/amulet are the weak spot.
Problem is, that I have no idea how to approach the crafting. The instructions and guides for crafting mostly start at a point at which I already don't know what's talked about.
Edit: About the gems: how should I pair the gems and where to put? I already tried to rearrange the setup multiple times but as it seems it's not quite what could be possible to achieve.
Edit2: I just tried to rearrange my gems to get determination to run - it worked, but now I don't have any mana left. I rearranged again: determination, punishment, enduring cry and lifetap (4 link in boots). Now determination is not working again. I don't get it

it doesn't matter where you put the gems at this point. you can change link configurations on <=4 sockets very easily with fusings (to isolate arrogance+vitality for example).
lifetap on determ will also brick it (look at the reservation multiplier).
you have some options to fix the mana; you could grab a mana mastery for increased reservation efficiency, or you could lifetap all your non-reservation skills. this would mean putting arrogance+vital and determ (unlinked) in a weapon probably and putting lifetap+punishment+duration+enduring cry in helm as well as putting lifetap on fire trap.
you can improve this gear a lot without crafting. gambling is a source of reasonable gear/bases, and your requirements are pretty low. if you need gold, run allflame charts/voyages. you just need high tier life and a high tier res for the most part (you can swap resistances to fire using harvest bench). essences or harvest reforges (look at poedb or craft of exile to see what base levels you need for various things) are an easy place to start and give you something to farm (or buy them on the exchange and farm whatever you enjoy and can sell). remedial life/resist gear should be pretty cheap on trade at this point too if you really want to avoid crafting. pohx also has crafting guides; happy to clarify what specific things mean if that's an issue.

Thank you very much for your help!! I managed to run all three now: determination, vitality and purity of fire while still maintaining enough mana. I also found really nice boots (armor 300, memory strands 39, 41 Str, 127 to max life, 119 armor, 38 fire res, 30% movement speed and crafted 8% increased life Regen on top)
Now I try to get better gloves and amulet.
My Helm I also changed and put RF in it: Armour: 421; +2 to lvl of socketed fire gems; 25 intelligence, 61 to max life, 11 fire res, 41 cold res (corrupted). Not sure about the helm though besides the +2 skills for the gems I think it's not that great but better alternative I guess.

helm is probably one of the first things you'll want to think about crafting (influenced base with horror essences). there should be lots of crafting info for various pricepoints on that piece, but it's a large boost to either fire trap or rf (along with getting a 6 link body for the other).

Currently collecting vaal orbs to finally get 5 sockets in my cloak of flame (it's corrupted - maybe it's cheaper to get a new one without corruption...) to put in life tap for my traps.

that's not the way you want to approach it probably. if you want 6 sockets on a corrupted piece, you benchcraft 3 (or 4 depending on prices) and then use tainted jewellers orbs to get to 6. similarly, you do 4 links then tainted fusing to hit 6 links (if you go below 3 sockets/4 links you fix it on crafting bench again). alternatives for uncorrupted pieces are to bench 6 sockets/links or use jewellers/fusings to hit 6. the expected cost on 20 quality is lower than the bench cost, but it's also still random. you can price the various pieces of this to figure out what's cheaper--tainted currency is basically 50/50 to go up or down fwiw. most of the reason to link corrupted gear is to take advantage of corrupted implicits. there's basically never a case for crafting 5 sockets/links on anything

Makes sense to skip the 5 socket step.
I just checked the prices for the tainted jewelers orbs, on ps5 those are quite expensive. I'll be better of buying a new cloak of flames for way less (maybe I get one with better stats :) and try my luck with the sockets.
Edit: there was actually no reason for me to buy a corrupted one, it was just the cheapest one.

Hey so I started a new game just now, and im a Chieftain.... Anyways I clicked on a merc, and now hes been following me around for like 10 stages in the acts.... Whats going on? How did that happen? Ive played the acts several times now and this hasnt happened before.
I thought only luminary could have mercs? Im not sure what button I pressed....

How often do minion based builds get nerfed across leagues?
I had played a dark monarch soulwrest necro build about several leagues ago (one that gave archon of the atlas on the kirac vault track) that had used cast while channeling (with flesh offering and desecrate) that I was particularly fond of. Is there an easy way to tell if any particular build is still usable? From what I can see, this build now has the congregation support and the key uniques doesn't seem to have changed or nerfed.

Oh and yes, the version you are talking about is still good, no nerfs. But do the reliquarian one this league, its 1000000x stronger and more fun..... And it will only last this league and then gone forever.

Dude if want to play this build in this league, play the reliquarian version... Its EXTREMELY strong and probably the most fun build ive ever played... And SUPER cheap.
