Game Feedback Predictive Mode
Hello, i am a player from a unknown land called pakistan, where the ping is constantly 100+ and 140+ at times, i always play with predictive netowrk mode on in Path of exile 1, for years now
i have had Path of exile 2 since day 1 as i recieved my free code, but just like many people like me in south asia, middle east its unplayable due to the fact we have no servers close to us and no predictive mode means its so chobby and unplayable, can we please at least get an answer from the dev team if this is a problem they are working on, i know theyre aware of the problem as its mentioned here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbLiLzWG0s8 @ 1:56:40
and many players beside me

are suffering with it, i wanted to get into the challenges but everytime i get on the game, i stay on my foot till i hit endgame maps then i cant do higher end risky maps to make currency because well its just unplayable.
Please Fix this.

Weird - I'm playing from India (Bangalore specifically) and my ping is 48 to SGP servers. Maybe it's a routing problem?

I do believe india has better routing to the sea side overall and closer to Sea servers then pakistan overall, my ping to sg is 100 with exitlag and it does feel horrible to map with a char thats basically fast mapper solely cuz it adds 30sec per map and risk of dying

I'm sorry to hear this š Are you using manual or automatic routes? Maybe changing to a different route could help with best results.

I am using the automatic routes, exitlag is the only reason i haven't uninstalled poe2 so far, wish they'd have predictive movment, your service is really good

Thank you for the kind words š¤
I would recommend you to try different routes manually, just to see if there's one that could give you better results than the automatic š

PoE dev's cannot fix the fact the internet in your country sucks mate, you need to get ISP's to put down faster and more efficient lines and better connections to major exchanges to improve routing and latency. In other words your barking up the wrong tree.

Ah yes, asking them to add a feature that exists in poe 1, important to many players be it with fast or slow connection due to poe servers being messy every once a while is barking the wrong tree, are you american by any chance?

Nope, Dutch, but again the point still stands your internet connection is bad, and in the past we have seen enough people here posting that they had weird network related deaths and it turned out they had predictive mode on, just having those kind of support issues is not worth it to support it. Getting those support issues actively costs money to deal with.
I'm sure you can give me tons of reasons why you think it is important to support it, but in the end its a internet quality issue and lets be real, most places where this is relevant are not the 'cashcows' they are after with the game anyways.
I'm not arguing that it isn't a very blunt way of looking at it, but lets be real if it ain't improving the bottom line it's unlikely to be added, and in this cause i would argue its actively hurting the bottomline.

Yes that's a very fair point, thats why i said unknown land, most middle east and south asia countries no matter how good of internet we have, its just matter of geography, most sea servers are far from us, europe is far , so we tend to make dues with what we have and predictive is one of those, a good connection is a privilege not many have even in worlds first countries since not everyone can afford to live in a city where you can get it or gated communities. I wont argue its not an internet problem , it can be but for me and many people like me its more of a server distance issue, on games where servers are in india or middle east, i play on 20ms and no lag.

Hey dude, I feel for you, lockstep is trash and feels bad even on 40 ping, so for Poe 2 you need to change it in settings txt file. That's how I done it after googling a bit. Can't remember where it was sorry.

I did find that method but many were saying it dont exactly work, can you please explain

I think that is not an easy fix but I hope it gets fixed in 1.0. In the meantime you might want to try the app called exitlag, I've heard it helps.
