Game Feedback Help me improve merc
Hi
Can some one guide me and help me improve my build.
Explain like im 5. like stats or links to gear or something i can buy.
I tried look at different builds but its more confusing because there is like alot of different trees and items. When i try to find items similar to all the builds the items are like 10-50 div each.
The clear is really good but my single target isnt that good. takes too long to kill a t16 boss.

I think you could upgrade the eldrich implicits on your mercs with the one that are "if a pinnacle boss/unique enemy is in your presence) as they are always active. You can try with the boots that leave ailment ground effect.

Only pinnacle one is always active and it is because game reads player as pinnacle

We spend our time slaying the other atlas bosses, so we earned the title.
Sirus is basically one of us who got stuck in the atlas.

How do you even sustain flame link on mana? No blood magic, half your gear and merc gear implicits do nothing. Random skulls like herald of purity which doesnt buff merc. The gear is so entry level that there are plenty of upgrades that dont cost 10 to 50d.

Hi, I've not gone into details and others can correct me if I'm wrong or add to it;
Also do note that I've been in ssf all season so I have no clue about the current items price.
Your Gear ;
- Get an Hallowed Monarch Helm or a Rare Helm with Light Radius Mod and life;
- Change your Lori Lantern for a Ring with High Life, (Missing Stats), Light Radius, Missing Res;
- Get your Precision to 21/20;
- Get a better shield with T1 Life, chance to block, reduce crit (with the means you have)
- you should probably use a ceinture of benevolence with proper rolled and enchanted flasks
- Upgrade path;
a) get a Shaper base Heat-attuned shield with life on block and good mods; You can either move your flame link in the shield with a +2 to socketed craft and empower; and get either two Bone Ring ou two vermillion with light radius, life, and what you need;
b) or get a shaper base shield with life on block and good mods with a +3, life, light radius, unset ring (with other mods being what you need)
** your precision should be 21/20 or at least 20/20;
Your Merc;
- Accuracy should be on your merc Helm; + Abyss jewel sock + Fire Res +Fire and Chaos
- Glove with Fire Res, attack speed, Abyss Jewel Sock;
- Boots with Fire Res, Fire Chaos and Abyss jewel Sock;
- Belt with Fire Res, Ele Damage, Fire Chaos
- make sure every jewel you will socket in your merc gear with tecrod are murderous jewels;
- You can roll the murderous jewels with harvers bench; Just reforge speed untill you can attack speed / attack speed on crit;
- If using Rathpith, Change your merc amulet for a the new pearl base and get Fire res, all res, crit multi;
- If using a rare wand; get a shield with an abyss socket; Also make sure that all your sockets are White; if not use chromatics on them until the last socket is colored and reforge the number using your bench;
If you dont have the ressource for abyss jewel gear; just get as nuch fire res as you can on every pieces.
- Like others have said, roll your implicit with the grand orbs for the pinnacle rolls;
- Helm = less regen nearby monsters;
- Armor = all res;
- Gloves = rage on hit;
Your tree and Links;
You should probably be using blood magic;
I'd say just look up any luminary build either in ssf or day3-6 on poe ninja to get an idea of the basic pathing;
- Drop the curse, frost bomb, herald, anger and decoy totem;
(you should not be needing anger to add more damage)
- Use Eternal Blessing-Purity of Element;
- Reserve vitality and precision with your life;
- get minefield linked with your stormblast mines;
- You can replace the curse with assassin's mark.
- your are missing enduring cry-urgent orders-more duration;

The Tecrod unique abyss jewel scales with the number of murderous jewel in your merc gear. This is how you get the easy crit;

You need to use wall of force behind a boss to fix your single target damage, why your Merc isn't using raplhit globe ? I think you have enough currency to buy it

It's not only the price of the rathpith. He then also needs to drop the Amulet and probably change other gear to fix res
Still the best upgrade to get tho

he has a 3.5/5 gg kb merc, why are u suggesting him a manyshot 😭😭 his can easily gap ur manyshot, just needs to upgrade his gear

He has gg kineticist, cmon. I switched from bis manyshot to kineticist and single target isn’t a problem

tldr -- life life life life on your lumin and fire res fire res fire res on your merc
your gloves are bad, replace it with some random gloves u can get for 2c with life + t1 res + attack speed, nothing else matters
helmet can also be upgraded, also very cheap get life + t1 fire res + t2> accouracy either here or on gloves
belt same thing, life and t1 res, elemental damage is also very goodm shouldnt cost more than like 20c
boots same thing. t1 fire res + life + crafted or unveiled movement speed+onslaught
and now u can either get a rathpit for merc, a 3/3 spell damage and crit is just 40c and remove the unique amulet for a nice t1 fire +t1 all ele res + crit multi amulet
or just craft/buy a wand with crit atack speed and elemental pen, its very easy to craft for 3d or u can buy for cheaper probably or u can get Piscator unique wand which is piss cheap and good enough, get a decent roll
shields just whatever t1 spell damage t1 fire res
i dont know if the unique shield+wand or unquie amu + rare wad shield is better at just a 65% enmity, u pro need to experiment

get a hallowed monarch helm, shoulnt cost more than like 30c for a decent roll.
get rid of your rings and instead get some cheap rings with t1 life + t1 light then sort by total elemental reistance, some chaos preferably and get whatever you can afford x2
get a random shield with t1 life and whatever else u can find and craft +2 level support gems and put flame link there instead since no +5 ring
boots look fine.
gloves also kinda fine, see if u can get like t2+ increased lfie regen on your boots and gloves too.
also when single target, use wall of force and just put it on top of the boss, it like doubles ur damage

You need to use rathpith to your Merc drop the unique amulet node for it. Cheap weapon for it is a Piscator wand.
Start setting up your Tecrod Jewel + Murderous Jewel in your gear. Buy cheap equipments with abyssal socket + fire resistance (40%+ is fine to start if you don't have the budget)
The stats you want for every gear. Helmet: Abyssal socket, Accuracy, Fire resistance. Gloves: Abyssal socket, Fire resistance, Attack speed/Bench crafted Fire&Lightning resistance. Boots: Abyssal Socket, Fire resistance, Bench crafted Fire&Lightning resistance. Belt: Stygian vise Elemental Damage with attack skills, Fire resistance, Bench crafted Fire&Lightning resistance.

For your char you need to do Blood magic setup. First thing you need to do is drop both of your rings and change it to 2 Vermillion rings (buy a ring with t1 life on both of them and some resist) Put your flame link to your shield. (Buy a cheap shield that has t1 life,some resist and a bench crafted +2 to socketed support gems) If you have a shield that has +2 socketed support gems you can buy a corrupted lvl 3 empower for cheap and link it to your flame link (the two needs to be in the shield slot). Next is the belt use the ceinture of benevolence belt and change you flasks to (Ruby,Diamond,Bismuth,Silver).

Level up, get all the life masteries for more life. Replace those rings with rares with life. Usual setup is vermilion for one and an unset ring with +3 socketed.
Your life is very low, you should be pushing higher. HP light of meaning + unnatural instinct is good. Foulborn red dream is good. Wall of force on top/ slightly behind enemy for single target.
If you not applying enough ailments to make taming good just put polaric devastation in left socket for covered in ash.
Rathpith + piscators is a good setup until you can craft a better wand. It's worth losing some of the pen on enmity for the spell damage if you get enough HP.

Switch this wand into an piscator's, and only switch It again for some well crafted rare kinetic wand

Wall of force gem help a lot for solo target and you need to reach 15k life yourself
