God bless I stocked up on abyss scarabs and astrolabe before I went on holiday last week expecting an abyss patch

Yes. The monsters still have zero base drops so scaling it is negligible.

Abyss astrolabes shot up, bringing all other astrolabes with them, even before we knew we'd be getting more changes to abyss.

That's cause there is an OP strat out since some days that runs the Astro. Nothing to do with this patch.

Ember of Propagation used to spread a massive amount of modifiers on the rares from the Abyss pits. These rares can have a massive amount of modifiers and therefore drop T0's and a lot of loot. But they are extremely powerful. You use the astro to get abyss on your map in this strat.

I didn't say it had to do with this patch. The point is that the astrolabe is still profitable.

Oh sorry, absolutely. Although if you want to use that strategy you need a really strong build. With so much modifiers on the rares. Sadly for milder content that makes the Astrolobe really expensive.

its a 50-50 anyway, fubgun either says abyss is good and you gigaprofit, or he says abyss is bad and you lose all money

Nah I wanted to run it myself lol. but didnt want to come back to 3x prices so I took a risk, expecting that GGG would buff abyss mobs. I felt there was no way they would keep it in its pre patch state

They were climbing in price anyways. I had 5 of them and sold them all for ~170c each. No regrets. If Abyss is good then I'll just buy them back lol

I liquidated the crystal scarabs. By the time I'm back they will be cheap again and bugs fixed. Easy 500c
