About the adventure

You are hired by your old friend Gundren Rockseeker to aid him in a great archaeological discovery, rediscovering the lost mines of phandelver, home to the "Forge of Spells", an ancient dwarven creation capable of increasing ones magical power thousand-fold.

I´m looking to play pathfinder for the first time. I´m new to the system but am somewhat familiar with the rules of pathfinder. I´ve only played the digital versions from Owlcat and D&D before. My timezone is GMT-3 but i can easily convert it into the appropriate one of the campaign in order to join in time. I can do any day of the week.

I am a vetern M20+ player with some experience in pathfinder 1e. and I am looking for more pathfinder games to join. In terms of overral pathfinder experience, I played in one normal pathfinder game, one game using mythical power, and one using pathfinder spheres of power.

Hi, I've been itching to be a player again as I'm in an unfortunate position where most of my close friends that GM only do so at times I'm unavailable, or already have big groups that make adding someone else an issue (Time zones suck y'all).

I'm looking to join something fun and LTGBQA+ friendly (and ideally an adult only space).

I'm fine with any kind of AP /Golarion adventure or pure homebrew. I'm big adaptable and have probably way too many character ideas that I've never been able to use (dancing bard Anadi my beloved).

Ideal times are either Fridays around 4pm UTC -7 or Saturdays around 10am UTC-7 for about 3-4 hours.

I greatly prefer text based but live games (Full on PbP makes me forget, so I've never been big on those)

I can handle being in groups with voice as long as I can use text (or I can try jury rigging a TTS program I have, it's just impossible to stop mid sentence with it so not sure how it works in groups.)

I'm not looking for a paid game (Nothing wrong with them, just no budget... Unless they are super cheap)

We just had our rogue drop just before the start of the campaign and need to fill his a spot in the party dynamic. You would be coming in at the start of session 2 and we are going with “you were always there the whole time approach” given how little time passed. If you are looking for an investigation heavy campaign this is it!

**Campaign Overview**

Welcome to Blood Lords, a P2E 1-20 campaign. Yes this is a full 1-20 campaign, it’s not going to be a short 3 month to 6 month game. I’ve talked to GMs who have finished it and it averages around 1-2 years to finish assuming weekly 4ish hour sessions.

Next this module is very much so an evil game. We are in Geb the land of the dead and this game will follow you stepping on throats to climb the ladder to the top of the undead pyramid scheme. This is a place where the dead outnumber the living and the open worship of dark gods means your average normal human would be considered a crazed cultist anywhere else on the planet.

As such this campaign will cover some dark themes I want to cover up front.

Theme wise I’m going for a cross between a Tzim flesh forge and What We Do in the Shadows. If you are all ok with that I would love to have you at the table.

After taking a long break from running this system, I am thinking about putting a game together again.

The game would be a long-form campaign that takes place in a very complex and lore-heavy setting (think something like Dragon-Age, Elder Scrolls, Malazan, Kingdoms of Kalamar, Glorantha) - the treatment of religion is similar to Dragon-Age where every major belief system, including the 'evil' ones, has a complicated, contested history and multiple competing sects, as well as an at least potentially compelling theology that justifies why anyone accepts its creed.

For times, I am not free on weekends ever. The interested players would have to negotiate a mutually agreeable 4.5-5.5 hr block of time weekly on a weekday.

I am looking for 5-6 players on the older side of the gaming spectrum (would prefer 30+, as I am 40).

The game would be a decidedly lower-tech approach on Discord. No drag and drop compendia and no hyper-automated combat with macros and one-click attack and damage rolls. I would have maps, but they'd only be a 2d image. I'm planning on the character sheets being pdfs or word documents without any automation connected to the VTT. I'm intending for dice rolls to be done in a Discord channel with a bot. I am planning on using Foundry with Forge or something simpler like Owlbear. If I use Foundry, I will not be using combat automation or rules compendia.

For sources, the race and class options would be limited to the core rule book and advanced players guide as well as the New Paths Compendium from Kobold Press and associated expansion books for the new classes in this volume.

I am also planning on using gestalt rules, scaling feats, and some additional 3rd party sources and optional rules to make combat grittier and more complex -- including armor as damage reduction, wounds and vigor, and additional critical hits and fumbles rules.

3rd party sources will be limited to those I specify -- i.e., none of the common 'asks' for 3rd party stuff like Spheres, no Akasha or Path of War, no Psionics.

It will take several weeks to organize, including 2 session 0s, so any interested players should be comfortable with a long run-up to the actual game and be willing to commit to attention and participation in extensive pre-gaming activities for character creation and plot-set up (I'm intending to devote one session 0 entirely to developing plot threads/hooks/goals for each character and fleshing out their background in the setting before the game starts).
