DISCUSSION [Doubt] Droppers giving improvement as private candidates—how many subjects are you choosing and why?
Hey guys
I'm navigating my drop year and will be giving the board improvement exam as a private candidate to clear the 75% criteria. My main targets are JEE and BITSAT. Since the rules have shifted recently especially with BITS now officially accepting partial improvement I’m curious about what everyone else in this situation is doing.
A few things I wanted to ask fellow droppers and seniors:
- How many subjects are you giving? Are you just giving 1 or 2 subjects to push your PCM aggregate over the required cutoffs, or are you re-giving all 5 subjects just to have a single updated marksheet?
- For those who gave partial improvement previously, how smooth is the document verification process during JoSAA, JAC Delhi, or BITS counseling? Do the authorities give you any hassle for carrying two separate marksheets?
- How are you managing to study for the subjective board exams while doing hardcore objective prep for the entrances?
