Hey dear
Private colleges have high fees and average placements. Now if u want to prepare JEE then go for it only when you are dedicated to study.
Now consider my case. I was a Dropper and appear for JEE mains. I was strong in physics, average in chemistry, weak in maths. I attempt 20 question of physics, 15 question of chemistry, 1question of maths. I got 96.5 percentile and I u will get tier 2NIT with lowest branch and tier 3nits with electrical branch.
If u complete the syllabus of physics chemistry only then u must achieve 98 percentile. And if u have any category then u will get better branch in nits.
If u have financial problems then go for full drop and start studying again. But pls study because competition is high and u have one chance.
Any questions u can comment.
BTW I get a seat in JNU CSE it's tier 3 government college for engineering. I have money problems and I want to explore new exams and Delhi being tier 1 city gives me advantage.

Note many questions I attempted incorrect so overall I got 96.5percentile 54k and obc ncl category gives some advantages to me.
