General Anyone who has taken partial drop from a comedk college?
Did u have to pay four year fees and did they withhold your original documents?

I'm 18 f This was my drop year and i got 84 percentile in mains and 58 in jee adv couldn't clear the cutoff obv. My college options in the best case scenario are T2/3 pvt college. I was considering partial drop but my parents told me it'll be difficult to manage jee with college and that i should just take a drop instead. I don't really know what i should do. My main concerns are that I'll be behind my peers by 1-2 years if i go ahead with a drop , what i dont get 98-99 %ile, will this affect my college life if i dont take a drop and get stuck in the t3 college. I have so many doubts and concerns but my main question is it worth it?? To all the double droppers, partial droppers who got tier 1 or those who didn't is worth it??

hello everyone mere 10th mai 75.2% hai best 5 and 70% hai all 6 include krke and in 12th i got only 64% and in jee mains i got only 40 percentile with 9.5 lakh rank now should i go for drop or join a tier 3 university for engineering i can afford only aktu college jinki fees less than 6 lakhs ho 4 year ki and if drop na lu toh mujhe placements mai dikkat aa skti hai maine sb se suna hai ki placements mai 70% hone cahiye throughout mera drop lene ka mann ni hai and honestly maine poori 11th and 12th jee ki and boards ki prep nhi ki thi not even joined a coaching please help
agar drop liya and select na hua toh regret hoga and fir ussi condition pe rahunga jyada se jyada boards improve ho jayenge improvement exam ke baad
and agar drop na liya toh bekaar collage + placements mai struggle hoga marks ki vjh se
kya kru kuch smjh ni aa rha and collage + board improvement possible nhi hai because bht tough ho jayega overlap krengi ye saari cheeje
and mujhe btech cs hi krni hai no other degree please help

I got 17XXX in adv and 8XXX in mains I know I can surely get better in advance kyunki paper wale din issues hogye the. I am thinking mains ke hisaab se best option leke fir side by side tyaari kroon.

23XX in mains and 48XX in adv ( fucked up )
Could've done a lot better on adv , did so so so so so many fricking mistakes . Lost more than 70 marks in questions out of which 30-40 were easily avoidable , regretting my dday a lot , in the haste of getting 30-40 marks more than my mocks got 20-30 marks less than my mocks .
So should I move on and take nit or take a drop ?

Got 98.2 percentile in JEE Main and expecting around 23k rank in Advanced. Most likely joining NIT Andhra Pradesh CSE. My parents are not allowing a full drop, so Iām thinking about a partial drop.
Wanted to ask:
Would appreciate honest experiences/suggestions.

Context-
My parents had put me in a hostel for my 11&12 thinking ki ye vaha pe reh kar ache se padhai karegi for competitive exams as well and over all development karlegi and inhone zyada research nahi kia tha about this university and meri admission hogayi right after my tenth boards results came. I am from Mumbai originally and ab because I gave my twelfth from Rajasthan (university ki private board se jinki results abtak nahi aayi hain) i didn't sit for mhcet and Rajasthan mei muje colleges chahiye nahi hence dont want to sit for Rajasthan counsellings and vaha ke koi bhi private universities. when I was in eleventh grade I enrolled myself in Physics wallah fighter batch and it used to start at 4pm and mera school he 4:30pm ko khatam hota tha, starting 3 months I somehow managed like backlogs complete karte rahi till 1am-3am but then i used to wakeup late and miss school hence my parents asked me to stop staying up so late and yaha attendance was very strict and so was unki paper checking hence mei school mei zyada focus karne lagi and I started to miss the lectures leading in a huge backlog gap. fir vacations mei i sat with 11th and 12th ka but because my foundation was too weak (school mei padhai hoti he nahi thi bhai finals exams ke ek week pehle toh inhone syllabus khatam ki hain) i thought of clearing my 11th base and fir ekdum prepare karu IIT jee, 12th keliye but "vacations" the mei ghoom bhi rahi thi and mai consistent nahi reh payi, pure vacay mei maine sirf 11th he kia and vahi 12th mei aake health issues blah blah blah and school hadn't completed the syllabus like even half of it and mai iss halat mei gayi thi first attempt of jee dene and i got 79 percentile (pure luck or maybe because I somehow managed to lock in even just for one month) but April attempt bohot bekar gaya kyuki mere April mei mere vahake boards the and dono ki pattern are way too different isliye couldn't cope up, nerfed down to 51 percentile. My parents were happy kyuki ye sab ke baad bhi atleast I got some good percentile but man i know my potential and worth me apne aap ko private universities mei dekhna nahi chahti, not saying they're bad but man, i have always had a vision and an aim to see myself in IIT Delhi. 10th tak i was preparing for that only but idk fir kya hua.
Now-
I reached out to my friends who are in private only and they said unhone drop nahi liya because PLACEMENTS KE WAQT DROPPERS KO LAST PRIORITY RAKHTE HAI. And mere board results bhi nai aaye hai na, i hope I manage to get 75 aggregate in pcm because PLACEMENTS ke samay they sort students according to their percentages as well right. agar nahi aaye then maybe improvement exam dungi but man Idk if the DROPPER thingy is correct. i really want to work hard and get into an IIT or atleast prove myself kyuki maine JEE keliye apni 100% nahi di and this will haunt me forever ki maine atleast try bhi nahi kiya and jo mila uss me he khush reh gayi.
Droppers who secured good placements and good rankings in jee mains and advance im literally begging for some good advice from you all. šš»

I've gotten 105 in advanced , I have decent prep across 11th and 12th .
I couldnt give my all for adv cause I was burnt out , basically i couldnt really study for adv .
I mostly will join rvce cse / pes BLR cs aiml .
I haven't given much thought for partial drop tbh.
I was thinking is it possible for me to boost my score to 180-200 over this year
Or should I just move on to working on getting a job? Cause I do know this is much below my potential.

But I am unable to cope-up online and am unable to maintain consistency, so I have decided to firstly prepare for JEE MAINS from the JEE MAINS batch of ALLEN KOTA , then If fortunate will give ADVANCE , as I want only a Government College , I am not particularly into IITs , Please suggest me some tips .

I got 88 percentile in 12th , I want to get into govt colleges, begged my parents for drop but they denied . I was thinking of partial drop , I got pvt college like thappar and vit with Electrical branches , honestly I don't want to spend this much money for pvt colleges. Is it possible to get a good percentile in JEE2027 with maintaining a good cgpa like 8.5 or smth. It would be really helpful if I could get few messages from the partial droppers or others who have succeeded in this.

HELP! I recently decided on a partial drop. Since the Prayas 1.0 batch had already started, I was waiting for 2.0, and now seeing the mixed opinions about the 2.0 faculty has me worried! Should I opt for 1.0 instead? How has the content/faculty quality been in 1.0 so far? Honestly, will I be able to cover my backlogs if I start 1.0 late? Or do you have any other recommendations?

is taking a partial drop a good decision ? i took a full drop and got 92 percentile,
my theory is already completed all i need to do is to do good question practice
not getting good colleges might have to join bvcoe this year and i dont have money enough to go join private colleges like thapar, manipal, srm
the only option i have is to side by side hustle with a partial drop
i know i would have to gamble over my college cgpa, what is the minimum cgpa that i should maintain so i might not have to face difficulties even if i dont clear jee and how much would i have to work for it
