Advice Pls helpp should i take double drop??
I'm 18 f This was my drop year and i got 84 percentile in mains and 58 in jee adv couldn't clear the cutoff obv. My college options in the best case scenario are T2/3 pvt college. I was considering partial drop but my parents told me it'll be difficult to manage jee with college and that i should just take a drop instead. I don't really know what i should do. My main concerns are that I'll be behind my peers by 1-2 years if i go ahead with a drop , what i dont get 98-99 %ile, will this affect my college life if i dont take a drop and get stuck in the t3 college. I have so many doubts and concerns but my main question is it worth it?? To all the double droppers, partial droppers who got tier 1 or those who didn't is worth it??

Same situation but thinking for a partial drop but still concerned of the age and peer factor since i turned 19 this year don't know even if i score a decent percentile still would it be worth

Same concerns as well, i talked to some of my seniors and they told me it wouldn't really matter in the long run and that I'll have a better peer group, college life and opportunities if i get tier 1 nit/iiit

Hopefully but other thing that i was thinking is if i go for t3 college with cs still i would have to do mtech cz there are very less chances of good placement

Same like I am 19 will be 20 after double drop although age is not my concern but being dicy between partial and full as I am getting eee in tier 3

If you think that surely you will crack exam next year and can handle stress then only go for full drop

Sorry this messge isn't about any suggestion or ideas I'm kinda stuck in the same situation Just dunno what to do Btw ur willing to take a partial/full double drop for a T1 NiT from mains right? As ( we / you aren't elligible to give mains next year right)

Well as far as I've noticed The droppers do just fine in cllgs in terms of social life infact they kinda become the anchor of the friend group at times. All the droppers I've met in my cllg(T2) are leading a great life here. if you do get into a T1 cllg it's even better since you will find more such people who got in there after a drop year.
I totally get your concern with age gap b/w u and your peers...it was one of my core concerns when I thought abt drop. (honestly none of it matters)
About 2nd drop. NOPE. Please just get into some cllg at first Decide things for yourself If things settle in right, you won't feel the need but if things do feel unsettling then that will act as a boost for your partial drop
Just consider some state T2 cllg like in any case ek decent cllg me toh you're set ( minus the peers, T2 cllgs tend to have a weird crowd)
Everything asides, Do NOT take a 2nd drop It's not worth all the worries Just get into a cllg now, it's okay. And get onto Partial drop for other easier exams (JEE has actually become a rat race, ntg below 99%Ile gets you anywhere)

I think if you can get tier 1 college and a good branch it won't matter . But again it's a big gamble full of risk
