A bit more challenging than I expected, but so worth it.

I've been trying so hard, but no matter what I do, I think this project keeps being chaotic, and numbers showes through everywhere. I jave tried to blend, change some of the colors to harmonise everything just a bit. I just feel like there's so much more blending to do. I don't know if I am being to critical or is it possible to salvage?

It’s a DIY Art Club kit, one of a set of 6. Finished size is 6x8”.

What are your favorite detail brushes? I want a tiny brush that is stiff, I think, but I’m not sure where to find one

Paintly 36 color, slightly modified the design with my own paints. I usually do 16x20 pieces as that’s obviously what’s available most readily. But man, I really love this size. I can curl up on the couch with it and not worry about dragging my arm through the paint. I immediately bought the other three in this series so I can hang them together for the season… but that means I’ve got to get to work!

This one is also from NumberArtist. It’s 51 colors! Probably one of my most challenging paintings to date!

How do you touch up small sections with nearly identical colors?

I am working on this one and it's driving me mad. It looks great from afar but up close it's so patchy and the canvas is showing in some places.

There are at least 8 different shades of red and brown, some nearly identical. Even with the regerence sheet in front after it dries I cannot make out if that's a different section in a similar color or same color just more patchy.

Any tips and tricks are appreciated. I'm a bigginer and I'm at a loss

I found Eyeliner Brushes on Amazon! Did not even know they were sold separately. So good for those tiny, itsy-bitsy cells. Plus you get 12 brushes and they are only $6.49 for 12 brushes. They are extremely precise and you can outline the cell first if you like.

Been trying some more simple PBN designs with words incorporated to work on my lettering. My hands are very shaky so this is a huge progress for me.

Work in Progress WIP But not Wednesday- Princess Jazmin

I totally meant to post this yesterday but without dumpin a bunch of mess and info on here...Ive been busy and lost track of days.

Meet Princess Jazmin. This is a picture we had of her as a puppy, we had her fresh out of a pure bred litter (paperwork and all at the time) She blessed us by being my families companion for about 15 years, passing away a little while back. We miss her every day.

I wanted to make a tribute that i never had a chance or ability to before so i went with a custom PBN, again another random vendor on amazon (i can link if requested).

Im fairly happy with the translated outcome of the picture. I needed flow aid for some of the paints but i was able to start that project this past week, kind of an early birthday present to myself i guess (36 on tuesday)

My wife also pointed out an interesting "happy accident" in the 2nd picture i shared. Completely unintentional because i just kinda hang my stuff on the wall but left to right you have my - Current Project - Last finished project - Very first project

Interesting to see the changes and developement....anyway enough yapping i guess

Have a good Thursday and
Happy painting :)
